Alabama moves forward to the Monday night first game of the finals 2 of 3 series against Florida in an all SEC finals. Bama took 2 of 3 in Gainesville during the SEC season, 4-2/1-7/7-0. It's clear that both teams are playing their best at the right time. It should be a great series.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Florida broke out the offense against Alabama All-American pitcher Jackie Traina on Monday to support another lights-out pitching performance by senior Hannah Rogers as the Gators rolled to a 5-0 win and take a lead in the best-of-three championship series.
Facts
WCWS
What: Game 2 of best-of-three championship series. UF leads 1-0. Who: Florida (54-12) vs. Alabama (53-12) When: 8 p.m. Tuesday Where: ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, Oklahoma City TV: ESPN Radio: AM-1230
The fifth-seeded Gators (54-12) can win Florida's first national championship in softball with a win tonight against second-seeded Alabama (53-12), which won the title two years ago.
Catcher Aubree Munroe gave the Gators the lead with a solo home run in the third inning.
A Kirsti Merritt run-scoring double and a RBI single from Stephanie Tofft gave UF a 3-0 lead in the fifth inning.
UF chased Traina with two runs in the seventh inning, Tofft drove one in with a sacrifice fly and Lauren Haeger plated another with a double.
Rogers (30-8) allowed just four hits, though two of the baserunners were eliminated in double plays, and struck out three. She has tossed three shutouts in the Women's College World Series, six total shutouts for the NCAA tournament.
“We worked hard all season to get here and continue to play like it's another game, I know it's not a national championship, but keep that mentality - to play like it's another game,” Rogers said. “To play for my teammates.”

So all of our baseball teams let us down, but at least the Florida girls are representing our great state.
