How in hell Ole Miss is ranked with 2 losses is beyond me, I asked that question before the season started, along with another 2016 Preseason Coaches Poll: Amway Coaches Poll: 2016 Preseason Rankings Ranking Team Points First-Place Votes 1 Alabama 1585 55 too high 2 Clemson 1524 7 3 Oklahoma 1398 0 4 Florida State 1351 1 too high 5 Ohio State 1321 0 too high 6 Louisiana State 1241 0 7 Stanford 1149 0 too low 8 Michigan 1062 0 too high 9 Notre Dame 1034 0 puke 10 Tennessee 960 1 too low 11 Michigan State 901 0 12 Mississippi 792 0 ranked?13 Houston 668 0 who's back? if the majority of 2015 team, way too low 14 Texas Christian 649 0 15 Iowa 579 0 16 Georgia 525 0 17 Southern California 468 0 18 Washington 454 0 19 Oklahoma State 426 0 20 North Carolina 422 0 21 Baylor 383 0 Ranked? or is the number of players/coaches serving time 22 Oregon 361 0 23 Louisville 331 0 24 UCLA 296 0 25 Florida 245 0 where's Wisconsin?Betting ol miss was ranked high early to make it look like bama actually plays somebody this year. Well, it turns out that USC is a REAL nobody, but Alabama has to face an SEC schedule that consists of more than Ole Miss. IF they can get through the SEC, they will be tops again. There is no tougher conference out there.

Conference play is just starting in earnest. There's a reason why the playoff rankings haven't started yet. Let's see who is in the Top 4 at the end.

LSU's 2016 schedule is turning out to be a piece of cake. How in hell Ole Miss is ranked with 2 losses is beyond me, however. Maybe because they should have beaten the bammers again. One stupid bad pass gave the tards a lucky win. That win over wofford was HUGE. Similar to #10 Wisconsin showing their medal and coming from behind to beat Georgia State in the 4th quarter. As it stands now, the B1G certainly looks better than the SEC, but there are still a lot of games to be played.

Last season you guys caught up to us.

If the SEC has won half of the playoff championships (there have only been TWO) compared to how many other conferences, then I'd say the SEC dominance continues. All the lesser conferences have a LOT of catching up to do.

Who is ranked 1-4 right now doesn't matter. There are still at least 9 games left for each team to play. 10 if you have a CC game.

no need to go through the rest of the stuff that deflected td pass for lsu to put them up 13 sent quite a few osu fans to the exits, since it had been raining for most of that game. that also got me yelling at those fans from my aa field seats (wife actually had to grab me when one guy told me i was a loser for staying). those of us who stayed made up for the void. the tigers certainly helped out quite a bit by throwing a pass on 3rd down to stop the clock (bucks out of time outs) and then taking a safety, which was pretty unnecessary. olive would come up w/another diving game winning td 2 years later at iowa. coop began his career in '88 w/wins over 10-2 syracuse and 8-4 lsu, sandwiched around an ugly loss at pitt. but that year got uglier... going 2-5-1 the rest of the way for a 4-6-1 season, osu's 1st under .500 in 20+ years (and would be the last til going 6-7 in '11. the only 2 losing seasons for osu in the last half century). and it would be a long time til coop got another big win at the shoe. 5 years imho, when the bucks knocked off 10-2 psu 24-6 on the only day i can remember when it snowed at ohio stadium for a game in october.

Was bow hunting during the LSU game, but listened to the second half in the cabin. Was at the '93 game vs PSU. And BTW PSU was undefeated coming in, and a 12 point fav.
