Thanks....we went to Croatia to visit an old friend who lives there. And yes, I'm glad I missed the KState game. From what I read, it was one of those "win the stats, lose the game" kind of deal. Oh well, OU had one of those the week before with Texas...Sooners won the game and lost the stats. So, I guess it all balances out.

Croatia, eh?  Dubrovnik, Split, or where, Harry?  I'd be interested in hearing about your trip.  I haven't been to Croatia since October of 2005.

I'm guessing that prices are rising over there.  Are they in the EU, and using the Euro now?

We were only in Zagreb, which is where our friend lives. This isn't the right time of year for Dubrovnik or somewhere else on the coast. If we go back, we will visit there.

The official currency is still the Kuna. Croatia is in the EU (2013) but they need to fulfill some economic requirements before the Euro becomes the official currency...estimated date is 2016.

Prices there were very inexpensive compared to Italy. Food and lodging were about half.

All in all I enjoyed the city and the people.
