Cueto finally back on track will start the first game without a doubt, followed by Volquez, Ventura and Medlen. As I said elsewhere, Wade Davis takes over as closer. I assume Herrera now takes the 8th inning and probably Madson takes over the 7th. Pretty sure Guthrie will not be on the post season roster and has pitched his last ball for KC. Now we have a Cleveland and KC series in KC for the weekend.

He was hotter than a firecracker when we played in Cleveland last week. Going to be a great one for you. As for what now, I have no idea. Royals haven't played well most of the month and it has really been the only time the entire season that they haven't. I am kind of thinking that the pressure was building to clinch since they had put together such a huge lead and maybe now that the division pennant can fly everyone will loosen up and get back to playing the way they were all season.

Yes yes yes___I like Ned resting the regulars <g>I guess so, no hitter through five. I knew it was trouble when I saw the back up catcher was playing first tonight and the 3rd catcher, who is a September call up, is catching. He is, BTW, Tony Pena's son. We had his other son, TonyJr., playing shortstop for a few years a while back.

And when, if ever, have Jose Ramirez and Roberto Perez homered in the same game? Hell the same month?? If they win it will be the 5th time in 2 weeks the tribe has gotten to .500. There's strike out #14. He's over 200 for the year now. I'm telling you, we have the pitching to really do some post season damage, if we can get there. Even if the royals are sitting 6 or 7 starters. 3 out w 10 to go. Every time I'm ready to throw in the towel Cleveland starts winning again. Lol

Read the comments section of the game story in the KS Star online this morning. Yost decision to go with a mostly minor league lineup Friday night was not popular, particularly with those who went to the game.

Andy McCullough@McCulloughStar So Alex Rios breaks up the no-hitter, and everyone can go back to being angry at a slightly less hyperbolic level.

As a kc fan, excited about clinching a division title the night before? Yeah I'd be disappointed. As a manager of a team playing 162 game season who probably knew his guys celebrated more than just in the clubhouse? Understandable.
