board of trustees of universities are made up of corporate wimps who don't want to deal with this type of scandal but the university of louisville really likes winning. they like winning so much that they made pitino the third highest paid coach in college bball, built a brand new fancy arena recently and rehired a football coach who once left them hanging high and dry only to subsequently get caught having an extra marital affair with an ex student athlete after crashing his motorycle. i bet pitino survives.

What do you mean by that? This story has nothing to do with Duke Lacrosse. Can't speak for him, but I got the analogy. Assumptions of guilt are being made based on unverified allegations. And in the Duke case, that didn't work out too well for anybody.

Not sure what you are driving at though. At duke, the real story turned out to be much different than what was originally reported.
