COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Mark Martin edged Andre Lee 2-1 in the final winner-take-all match of the night at 197 lbs. to secure No. 6 Ohio State’s 22-17 win over No. 11 and previously unbeaten Illinois Sunday afternoon at Huff Hall in Champaign, Ill. I wrestled in HS, and there were several brother combinations that wrestled...besides maybe dad pushing it, the lean, willowy types seem to do well...

Those Jordan brothers are beasts___that whole family were wrestlersWhile not as popular overall as roundball, (don't understand why) that six minutes will definitely wear your butt out...and the competitiveness in grapplers can get really intense. I wrestled in HS, and there were several brother combinations that wrestled...besides maybe dad pushing it, the lean, willowy types seem to do well... I wrestled too in high school at 145lbs.....I played strong safety on the football team at 170lbs__ so once the season was over I had 2 weeks to cut 25lbs...

While not as popular overall as roundball, (don't understand why) that six minutes will definitely wear your butt out...and the competitiveness in grapplers can get really intense. I wrestled in HS, and there were several brother combinations that wrestled...besides maybe dad pushing it, the lean, willowy types seem to do well... I wrestled too in high school at 145lbs.....I played strong safety on the football team at 170lbs__ so once the season was over I had 2 weeks to cut 25lbs... One of my kids from football wrestled here in Phoenix. They've changed the rules, at least here, and that's not allowed any more. Don't know the specifics, but his dad told me it had something to do with the school physical, and they could only go down one weight class from where they start the year. I remember a guy from back then who had starved himself so much (don't know where he started, but wrestled at 138), that when he placed at the state matches, coach took him out to dinner and he could only hold down one bite of his steak.
