Would anyone like to discuss Steph Curry's 402 threes this season? No one has even made 300 before... he made 10 in last night's game alone. Or his 46 points in last night's game while sitting out the entire 4th period? Didn't see the entire team feeding him the ball like ol Kobzie was... Steph earns his points the old-fashioned way. Or that Steph is a true role model for kids, both on and off the court? Kobe has a certain amount of ghetto/player attitude that I find ugly. Steph is a rock solid family man who truly loves the game, and he's a really decent and humble person. Feel free to start a thread re: Steph Curry. This one is about Kobe Bean Bryant. Curry is a local product and I'm definitely a fan, but he has a way to go to be in Kobe's class

i hate kobe. he's a ball and glory hog. made me annoyed the way he went out this year....his team purposely tanked so kobe could get all the shots he wanted. i respect his game but i've never witness a professional athlete milk the attention like kobe did this year. I think this is a chicken/egg discussion. The Lakers, a terrible team with just 17 wins, a team that won just 5 road games all season, losing by an AVERAGE of 10 points, (second worst in the league) every night, were the #1 team in road attendance in the NBA. Think about that......Kobe didn't buy those tickets...That ain't Kobe "milking" it. That's the fans coming to see a 1st ballot HOFr. the lakers also have a lot of young talent that had to take a back seat so their 37 year old way past his prime can shoot 50 bricks a game while milking every bit of public attention humanely possible. and as a 76ers fan, it is frustrating that the commissioner of the league had to intervene and force the 76ers to change up their management b/c they were anti their tanking strategy. but the lakers tanked also and they tanked in a far more obvious way, yet there was no public condemnation of the lakers. there was no intervention by adam silver into how the lakers handled everything. screw kobe. screw adam silver. screw jerry colangelo.

To paraphrase Jerry Buss, "Basketball isn't about basketball. It's about entertainment." Lakers: #1 in road attendance, #4 in team gear sales, Kobe, who had about a half dozen "Kobe-like" games...TOTAL all season....#3 in jersey sales. ...all in a year when they set a franchise record for most losses. Sixers? 24th in road attendance, 28th in home attendance, ...and honestly, I can't even name a player on their team, let alone want to buy their jersey. Put it all together, then tell me what basketball story could possibly have pushed the Warriors 73rd win off the front page? Only one. Kobe drops 60 in his last game. As the kids say, "....drop the mike....."
