The Tribe is up 6-2 on the white sox thru 6 innings and knocked out the best pitcher in baseball in Chris Sales Easily the best win of the season imho. Napoli hits a clutch 2 run triple and then performs the absolute worst slide into 3rd base in baseball history. He was lucky he didn't break his right arm/wrist. Gimenez clocks a deep HR. Lindor had 3 hits and a great defensive play late throwing out a runner at 3rd to start a double play. Davis goes 1st to 3rd on a wild pitch and then scores, plus makes a nice diving catch in center. And josh Tomlin was absolute nails on the mound, barely throwing 100 pitches thru 8 innings. He's now 7-0. And the tribe is 13-3 this year when they have 10+ hits. Had 10 tonite. That's how consistently good this staff is when they get run support. 24-20, 1.5 back and can take the series 3-1 tomorrow behind Kluber. 4 of the 5 teams in the central are .500+. This is shaping up to be a great division race. |
