just got done watching 'believeland' for the first time (being out of town in hotels often means lots of tv). could be picky about some things i wish had been in the show or left out, but overall it does a real good job of encapsulating the feelings of sports fans on the north coast. i was 5 years old in '64, and i remember the browns' upset of the colts more for my dad and grandpa's reax more than the actual game. but i remember the browns losing to the packers in the title game the next year, watching cleveland lose one step short of the super bowl in 68. 69, 86, 87 and 89. i was lucky enough to be at richfield coliseum for game 5 and 7 when the cavs beat the bullets, and game 6 when they lost to the celtics. got to see multiple post-season games in '95, including game 5 of the series vs the braves, in '96, saw the tribe eliminate the yankees in '97 and sat thru ski-like conditions a couple weeks later in game 5 of the series vs the marlins. saw the cavs lose game 4 to the spurs in '07. saw so many more games in person growing up thru to today, and my wife still asks me why i subject myself to watching the browns every sunday when they've been so bad now for going on two decades. and living two hours away, i can't see as many games as i would if i still lived closer as in hs. lots of passion exists in fan bases around the country, but there's something unique about having cleveland in your heart.

On the bright side...BELIEVEland is much better than BEREAVEDland...(although in fairness, I've only heard that IRT the Bereavedland Clowns)

I remember watching Jim Brown play for the Browns on television back in the day.
He'd be hopping down the field, dragging some DB who had him by the ankle.
