It's been a great three year run punctuated by major good luck when it comes to injuries. Even the injuries they had there always was someone able to step up and fill in. This year we lost Dyson for all of spring training on day one and for the first couple of weeks of the season. Moose was out a month with a broken thumb and now is gone for the year with an ACL. Gordon out four to six weeks with broken wrist. Medlen and Chris Young out of the rotation and on the DL the same day. I don't see making the ALCG this year but it is giving us a chance to see some kids who have been blocked at Omaha looking for a route to the bigs.

I hope so. Just been a crazy season injury wise. I watched the comeback today and it was amazing. What is exciting is seeing several of the AAA kids we have been hearing about for a few years finally getting their shot due to the injuries. This Whit Merrifield has been up for not quite two weeks and has five multi-hit games in a row. Brett Eibner now has two games in the majors but got two hits in the comeback inning yesterday, including the game winner. But we almost lost Perez for the year too, so that kind of tempered the enthusiasm. Last report says he just sustained a contusion to the left quad, but if you saw the collsion he had with Cutbreth you would have thought bad, bad knee injury. Like I said, we have had three magical years as Royals fans, so I can't complain. I just don't want to see any of these guys suffer any more serious injuries.
