Worked in my little family garden for a while this afternoon. Dusted the corn liberally with Sevin dust to keep the Japanese Beetles off until it is ready to pick in about 10 days. Picked a dozen tomatoes and a bag of summer squash and some cucumbers. My Sweetheart is out of town so I'm eating by myself. She doesn't care for squash so I sliced 2 of them, dipped them in milk and egg, and rolled them in a mixture of flour/corn meal/salt & pepper and fried them in extra virgin olive oil. Sliced 2 cucumbers, diced 2 tomatoes, and chopped 1/2 an onion and poured some vinegar and water on it and popped it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Nothing fancy but mighty good eatin'.
