... The cbj is looking like a playoff team. Out of the gate it looked like they might go 0-8 to start the season so an imposing early schedule, but the jackets are now 6-3-2. A great start for the first time in what seems like decades. Lol. You know what I mean...

... The cbj is looking like a playoff team. Out of the gate it looked like they might go 0-8 to start the season so an imposing early schedule, but the jackets are now 6-3-2. A great start for the first time in what seems like decades. Lol. You know what I mean... They took 5 of a possible 8 points on the West Coast which was huge but the turning point may have been the come-from-behind win against Dallas where they scored with :16 to go in regulation. I have always been a believer in Torts but as I said a couple of weeks ago, that defense is going to be an issue and without much depth in the organization, an injury or two could derail things quickly. They have tough stretch starting tonight with the Bruins and two against a really good Washington team so we'll see but they are certainly playing well right now, no doubt. |

Sam Gagner is the early leader in the clubhouse for surprise starts. 6 goals now, which is beyond crazy. Much like former Jacket and Bolt Jonathan Marchessault in Florida, sometimes a change of scenery and linemates does a world of good. If Torts can somehow get that defense to improve, the playoffs are certainly in reach. |

My boys will be up your way on Tuesday to try and get some revenge. |
