WELL PLAYED!! I took the Vols... 3-1 so far I'll take it! I had marked it as a loss and the PSU/IU game a push so I was happy to edit them. Looks like we'll be tied for the day when you lose the Auburn game in a couple of minutes. 1 loss each. I'll take it!

6-5-1 better than nut 'n honey... This morning I tried a new breakfast cereal, Great Grains with Cranberries and Almonds. It's probably not healthy, but it tastes good. i like it better than Honey-Nut Cheerios. I've got a bad granola habit--usually try to avoid sugary, processed cereals, though sometimes I backslide. How about you? What do you have for breakfast? Do you still eat breakfast with Little Lamby and a handgun?

well we're running out of daylight to catch those bitches at the top... Baylor +17.5 @ Oklahoma: bears off an embarrassing 40 pt home loss to tcu. sooners get rb mixon back after a 1 game suspension to go up vs a suspect run defense. but ou's d is not all that either. baylor is 9-1 ats as a dog, they have revenge after oklahoma upset them last year giving them their 1st loss. baylor loss. that busted ankle russell suffered was pretty gruesome.Kentucky +14 @ Tennessee: hard to believe the vols are still in the chase for the sec east. uk off a tough loss to georgia. bowo is 30-1 st/23-8 ats in this series since '85 and 19-2 ats when not favored by more than 17. cats are 2-10 ats in their last 4 games of a season under mark stoops. tennessee. loss. vols allow 2 uk td's in the last 3:53. ughWest Virginia +2 @ Texas: another week, another game w/charlie strong's job on the line. horns want to run behind foreman, 'eers hold big 12 foes to 108/game rushing. strong is just 3-8-1 ats in austin off back/back wins. wvu is 9-3 ats as league road dogs off a win. west virginia. win. wvu keeps playoff hopes alivePenn State -7 @ Indiana: nitts are hot, off 5 straight wins. barkley is averaging around 170/game on the ground the last 4 games. but the host in this series has covered 5 of the last 6, psu is 3-12-1 ats on the road the last 4 years, and i think they're due for an off game this week. indiana. loss. 4 1st half turnovers, stalled drives in the red zone. iu had their chancesAuburn -10.5 @ Georgia: war eagle is the psu of the sec, on a 6 game win streak. #121 of the south's oldest rivalry. tigers got a scare vs vanderbilt last week, and qb white/rb pettway both got banged up. that concerns me, even if au is a better team this year. especially when the tigers are just 1-6 ats lately as double digit road chalk. too many points. georgia. win. pettway not playing a huge factor.Pitt +20.5 @ Clemson: tigers on track for a return trip to the cfb playoff. qb watson got dinged last week but wasn't needed to blowout 'cuse. i expect him to have a big game vs a suspect pitt secondary who is off a huge loss at miami. but cu is 0-4 ats as home chalk of 14+. panthers are 4-1 ats as acc road dogs of 16+. if i'm going to get above water i need to take a chance on a flyer. pittsburgh. win. this was a nice call.LSU -7 @ Arkansas: tigers off a tough loss to the tide, where their d left their hearts on the field but the offense couldn't do a thing. hogs embarrassed the gators after getting embarrassed by auburn. lsu just 3-8 ats as road favorites, while arkansas is 11-5-1 ats as home dogs. tigers may be hungover again after a loss to saban, but losing to the hogs last year will get them focused. hogs haven't won 2 games in a row this yr in 2 months, and the tigers have more talent. louisiana state. win. maybe lsu's best performance of the season.USF -3.5 @ Memphis: bulls and tigers both still in the running for the aac title game. memphis only 5-9 ats as home dogs lately. i like the run game of usf's qb flowers/rb mack. south florida. win usf qb flowers throws for 263/2 tds, runs for 210/3 tds. wow.USC +8.5 @ Washington: game of the week. are the huskies for real? is usc a good test to show that? trojans have won 5 straight after starting the season 1-3. their frosh qb darnold has been impressive. uw's browning has been better (34 td's, just 3 picks). huskies are just 3-16 ats as pac 12 home faves of 8+, while the trojans are 6-2 ats vs unbeaten foes. this is the time of year when it starts getting tough on unbeaten teams. washington wins, but southern cal covers. win. usc looked quite good, and uw's playoff hopes are in jeopardyMinnesota +7 @ Nebraska: uncertainty of unl qb armstrong playing makes this a tough call. usually i like teams to bounce back off a blowout loss, but the gophers have a good ground attack (201/game) and that's a husker weakness (allowing 231/game). plus nebraska is just 2-9 ats as home chalk since joining the big 10. gophers are 9-4 ats lately getting pts on the road in league games. upset alert. minnesota. push. if i'd known armstrong would play... Michigan -21.5 @ Iowa: no upset alert here, but you wonder if the wolverines are due for a sluggish game. qb speith has played well but this will be his first night game on the road. hawks allowed 369 yds rushing to psu last week-ugly-so they will be focused on shoring that up. um is 5-12 ats as road favorites lately, and the last 7 times iowa has been a dog of 13+, they've covered 6. iowa. win. nice call. um's offense looked stuck in corn bushels. but this hurts osu bad re big 10 ccg.Army +14 @ Notre Dame: game is being played in san antonio, and the cadets have played well in texas (10-0-1 ats in the last 11 games). you'd think after going up vs a similar option offense last week (loss to navy) that nd would be better prepared, but at 3-6 i think the irish have given up on the season. army. loss. i'm an idiot for this pick. 7-4-1. late season surge?

that busted ankle russell suffered was pretty gruesome. [/b] [/quote Yeah, it was. I saw Robin Ventura do the same thing at White Sox spring training game in Sarasota about 20 years ago. My seats were first row, just to the first base side of home plate. So, I saw the entire thing unfold. Nasty looking.
