Well, Fred would be having his traditional Alaskan King Crag legs and Franco-American sourdough French bread. For desert blueberry cheesecake would traditionally be prescribed. Unfortunately, that will have to wait until we return home. On New Years Eve we'll be across the street from Disneyland watching the fireworks from a hotel room.

Going for the money food, I see. What state are you in? Oklahoma Drove through that state a few times. Lots of oil wells, houses(not all) built out of plywood and whatever they can grab, with fancy cars out front. Of course that was back in the early 80's on Route 40... I thought it rather strange that people could actually live like that.

I had exactly the same thought the first time I saw New York City-- especially the Bronx...

It cracks me up to see people sitting on the old raggedy couches that they keep on their front porches. Plywood houses? The occupants had better have a storm shelter or an evacuation plan in case of tornadoes. Other than than that, most houses are constructed of the usual building materials.

Hell, the only thing good in Colorado is the snow cap mountains in June.. Can't think of any particular food or recipes they are noted for. Maybe, Elk? Or Mountain Goat?

Personally, I can't wait for March when winter is over. These 3 months of high heat bills suck!
