Translation: Don't bother analyzing the history of economic and tax policy decisions. Embrace the stupid. Repeat the same old disastrous Republicon policy blunders.
Reagan cut taxes for his wealthy base, which increased the national debt.
Clinton increased the top tax rate in 1993 and dramatically reduced the growth rate of the national debt.
Dubya Bush cut top tax rates in 2001 and 2003, and the national debt has mushroomed for the past 15 years, as a direct result.
Bush was also a big spender-- launching his bogus "War on Terror" and unfunded Medicare D benefit.
Then Obama inherited the worst recession since the Great Depression.
I predict that Trump will further mushroom the debt for years to come. |
