To give us a standard to live by, and to punish those who don't. You will notice that most people stop for stop signs and red lights, and stay fairly close to the speed limit even if there are no cops around anywhere. Why? Because most people have a natural sense of wanting to do what is right.
For instance ....... a "no guns" sign will stop most honest people, but it will NOT stop a bad guy.
Bad people do NOT obey laws, signs, or paper restraining orders.

Oh...we already have those standards? Tell me. How many guns are stolen every year? Now put that number alongside the convictions for illegal possession of stolen property involving guns.Then put that alongside the number of crimes committed using stolen guns. Fred believes in making it as easy as possible for criminals to get guns and wants no law that would aid authorities to be able to prosecute those who violate the law. He also doesn't want firearms to have immobilizing, shut down and lock down technology that every cellphone on the planet has. He likes the idea that if his gun is stolen it becomes a criminal's gun. He likes that it can be used to kill innocent people instead of becoming a paperweight. Fred is brilliant...not. |
