The men's volleyball team goes for back to back national championships tonight against BYU.
As a (much) younger guy, I played a lot of beach volleyball and was pretty good, if I say so myself. I always loved the game but after I stopped playing, I only followed it casually. My daughter just finished her second season of indoor club volleyball and after learning the differences between indoor and outdoor rules, I am taking a liking to the indoor game myself so I am excited for tonight's match.
It's on ESPN2 for those interested.

just under 9k fans filled the lower seats at St. John arena for last nite's title match. easily the largest crowd in school history. not just back to back sweeps, but the 3rd title since '11. quite cool. a lot of folks walked over to Jesse Owens field to catch the 4th qtr of the big 10 men's lacrosse final, where the bucks lost a heartbreaker to top ranked Maryland 10-9. pretty exciting night on campus. |

I didn't catch the match but I watched the replay today. Just a dominant performance by the volleyball team last night. I wish they showed more men's volleyball on BTN because that was fun. That kid from France was outstanding. Tough loss for the lacrosse team, though. |
