Wasn't anywhere near the actual target. He did not hit what he was aiming at. In sniper terms, that's a miss. Leave it to the Russians to cheat, although they DO make good guns.

Leave it to the Russians to cheat, although they DO make good guns. the bullet hit the lower section of the target, and for a 2 mile shot, that is impressive, as I don't think I could even see a target that far away, even with a scope. I am sure his spotter would have given him some adjustments for a better shot( like most snipers do). Hell cross winds come into play with a shot that long.

I wish they would've given the spec's of the round in non-metric terms so I could understand how it compares to .50 BMG.

Oh, I'd never be able to see or hit it, either! LOL

I wish they would've given the spec's of the round in non-metric terms so I could understand how it compares to .50 BMG. Google is your friend.
"For a typical .408 CheyTac chambered gun, shooting 27.15 gram (419 gr) Lost River Ballistic Technologies bullets (claimed G1 BC = 0.940) at 884 m/s (2900 ft/s) muzzle velocity, the supersonic range would be 1930 m (2110 yd) under International Standard Atmosphere sea level conditions (air density ρ = 1.225 kg/m³)." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.408_Cheyenne_TacticalWikipedia has to be taken with a grain of salt, but it's a start.
