My G20SF is the perfect woods gun, although if I wanted to hunt in Alaska I could put a scope on my 8" Dan Wesson 44V and take down whatever came my way. If I am going to Alaska, I'd carry a .44 Magnum too, as a BACKUP to my rifle. I don't understand people who call a .30-30 "weak" and then want to hunt with a .44 Magnum that is totally outclassed by the "weak" .30-30. Even fired from a rifle, the .44 Mag can't touch the lowly .30-30.
Maybe handloads for super strong revolvers like the Ruger Super Blackhawk, Casull, etc. would come close, IF fired from a rifle.

Stay with your .45, Bryan. I'll stick with the BEST Glock to date. The G19. Get educated, boys. LOL!!! I have underwear older than the "expert" in your Glock 19 video. You will also notice the 9mm is too weak to punch his "hostage taker's head" all the way around on his reactive target. Proof of FAIL. Hit bad boy with a .45 and watch him swing around in a hurry.
All Glocks are the same. They only differ in barrel length, frame size, magazine capacity, and caliber. The G19 is too large for good concealed carry and it is chambered in a minor caliber.
If someone forced me to carry a Glock 9MM for uniformed duty, I would pick the G17L if I could. With the 9MM, I want all the extra help that a 6" barrel can give me.
Maybe you didn't watch this video of a guy being shot 19 TIMES (FF the video to 21:21 to hear this information) by 9mm ammunition. One of the cops had a Glock 19. That many bullets should have killed or crippled him. He WOULD have beld out and died if the cops had not risked their own safety to apply a tourniquet. I'm guessing he was hit in the femoral artery, which is NOT an incapacitating wound if he had wanted to keep shooting. The girl was hit in the arm, and not incapacitated at all. She just wasn't interested in fighting back.
Keep your little 9. That is certainly your right. I'll carry my .45

So you're thinking they are going to put you back in a uniform..?... The guy in the video is well informed... no matter his age. You carry your bulky .45 I'll carry my sleek G19. while you're reloading, I'll still be popping caps. Hey, I know, let's ask the average street thug which he would rather catch between the eyes.. a 45 or a 9mm.

I never said I WANT to go back to work. Working the street is a young person's game.
There's nothing bulky about a G30S. Try looking on the Glock website before saying such silly things. With 11 rounds of .45ACP at my disposal, I doubt reloading would be necessary, other than for tactical purposes, i.e. -- to have a fully loaded gun again. us.glock.com/products/compare?g1=g19cgen4&g2=g30s&g3=&g4=
Your cavalier attitude about "popping caps" is duly noted. A real life shooting is serious stuff. You don't get to reset the game to 0000 if things go bad. And like the cops in the video, you will HAVE to reload because your 9MM didn't do the job with one or two hits. The bad guy is not going to stand still and give you a perfect shot. Have you ever faced a real criminal in action? Which one of those cops hit that bad guy in Las Vegas between the eyes? You are living in fantasyland.
No, the guy in the video is a Youtube Rambo, NOT an expert, or even particularly knowledgeable. He doesn't say anything that anyone doesn't already know. Below is an EXPERT shooting a G19. He is a big guy and that G19 is a big gun in his hands. No thanks. (BTW, do you know where the loaded chamber indicator on a Glock is?)

All I can tell you is you need to follow the advice of the title of your own thread. I know all there is to know about my G19, thank you very much. "youtube Rambo".. LOL... No offense Bryan, but you don't know as much as you think you do. Anyone who disagrees with you is wrong. Case closed. :::shrug::: keep plugging away with those .45s...

YOU decided to tell me --- with all your street experience --- that the G19 is better. And I am telling you with MY street experience that the bad guys don't stand still and let you do whatever you want to them.
Carry your 9MM, .380 or .25 if you like. It makes no difference to me. I'll carry my .45. A .45 never shrinks. It starts out bigger and stays that way.
Did you figure out where your loaded chamber indicator is yet?

A true legend... in his mind.

Why does every thread about guns end the same way - with Bryan acting like a know-it-all dick?

Remember before Bryan bought a Glock he'd ramble on and on about how Glocks were ugly, boring, plastic pieces of crap made by Mattel™? And how a REAL gun is made of steel and wood? Beautiful, beautiful wood. He would pontificate for paragraph after paragraph about how his guns were the only one's worth owning. Funny how a plastic, boring, ugly piece of crap G30 is now the most perfect gun ever made. And he'll keep telling us about it because we're so stupid and need to be edumacated by someone who has it all figured out. Gee, us long time Glock owners don't even know how to tell if our Glocks are even loaded!

Just a matter of time before he acquires himself a G19. Then THAT will be the most perfect gun ever made...

A true legend... in his mind. I'm not interested in what you know or don't know about your G19 (except for the loaded chamber indicator). The only thing to know is that it is a 9MM Glock. All Glocks work the same way. This ain't about the G-19 or Glocks in general. I'm not concerned about what anyone else carries, either. It was never my intent to change anyone's mind about what THEY want to carry, so I'm not sure how this got into a pissing contest.
The thread was simply about me looking for the CONCEALED CARRY GUN that I feel is best suited for me. I listed my criteria, and it was MY criteria ----- not meant for anyone else. If I am open carrying, just about any old .45ACP will do, since size is not a factor. For open carry I'd pick a G21, or stick with my 1911's or S&W 645. I don't need to look any further for what I call a "duty gun." If I want even more firepower from my 30, I'll just stick a G21 mag in it, and lose some of the concealability. No need to buy a different Glock, and in fact this is probably the ONLY Glock I will ever buy. I have prettier guns for "fun" shooting.
Sorry I bothered to give MY thoughts, reasoning and opinion on why I chose a particular gun to carry concealed. I still can't figure out how some butthurt individuals decided that MY choice was a putdown of THEIR choice.
Now, where is that pesky loaded chamber indicator? (3rd request for the answer)

Are they MY perfect gun? Nope, not that either. The G30S is simply MY choice for concealed carry. Nothing more. I have no intention of buying another Glock. I don't need one and they are too ugly to collect. If I want a G21, I'll buy a G21 MAGAZINE and use it in my 30.
Now you two butthurt brothers can continue your little remarks. Thanks for the laughs.
