If it comes down to that, I prefer to be dead as opposed to being a slave of a tyrannical government.
When you surrender your guns to the enemy, you are dead anyway.
How many of those cops will be willing to DIE to illegally and immorally disarm me?
How many of those cops would obey an order to illegally and immorally disarm me?
an old saying comes to mind... 'live to fight another day'.. IOWs, there are ways to handle it besides dying, in the event of say, martial law.... Being sneaky is all part of your arsenal. Keep all your options opens. Being macho is just a bad idea usually, Mutt. |

There are almost 1.4 BILLION people in China. Subtract the military from that number, and you STILL have a lot of folks who are unarmed. Have you ever wondered why they have never overthrown THEIR oppressors?

possibly, but it would be one humongous job to try and take away the guns of the U.S citizens. How long would it actually take for all out war to begin..... I don't even think it (complete gun confiscation) could be done.... but one thing I do know, when and if they ever outlaw guns, only outlaws will have them. Along with the police and military, of course. |

But don't believe for a minute that the police and the military will automatically side with an illegal tyrannical government. Remember, those cops and soldiers are AMERICANS and PATRIOTS first. Only a few of them would remain loyal to a bad gov't. One other thing to keep in mind, those same cops and soldiers have American families, living in these United States. Would they want THIER families to be unarmed and DEFENSELESS.?.. I'm hoping the answer to that is a resounding NO.

Bought a decent O/U this week. SKB 785 Sporting 12 GA. Not sure if it had been shot at all. An even older geezer literally ran out of time before he could shoot it. His kids had no use for it so I helped them out. Plan on starting to shoot some sporting clays and revisit some trap shooting, which I hadn't enough time to devote to off late. Maybe join some geezers in a geezer morning league for trap. The state has a local range that has a really cute gal w nice jugs as a supervisor. Always a good thing to help get the heart moving in the morning.
