1. 31-AUG TULSA +18 at OK STATE Tulsa has lost 5 straight to Oklahoma State by 25 or more. That continues. OKSt.
2. 31-AUG OHIO STATE -21 at INDIANA Indiana returns 9 on a D, a unit that allowed 27 ppg last year. Indiana covers.
3. 1-SEP NAVY -11 at FAU FAU returns a ton from last year, Navy, not so much. I'm inclined to take Navy, but not this early in the season with a new Oline. Florida Atlantic gets 11 and I'll take it.
4. 1-SEP BOSTON COLLEGE -3 at NORTHERN ILLINOIS BC on the road to open the season with an O that managed just 12 ppg in conference last season. Northern illinois wins the game.
5. 1-SEP COLORADO -6 at COLORADO STATE Colorado returns to normal this season. Colorado state.
6. 2-SEP MIAMI OHIO at MARSHALL – PICK ‘EM Marshall has won 10 of their last 12 home openers. Marshall.
7. 2 SEP SOUTH CAROLINA +6 at NORTH CAROLINA STATE I like NC State, but I can't pass up the 6 points. Carolina.
8. 2-SEP TROY STATE +11 AT BOISE STATE BSU is inexperienced, and frankly, I think Peterson at UDub is beginning to affect their recruiting. TroySt can score points. Gimme the 11. TroySt.
9. 2-SEP MICHIGAN -3.5 vs FLORIDA - Ordinarily, I take UF easy. UM is too green to take in a first game laying points. But the line is up to -5 now after the recent suspensions. Add in first game and I'll take the ugly hats. UMichigan.
10. 2-SEP ALABAMA -7 vs FLORIDA STATE - 7 points is a lot to give, but I'm giving them. Alabama.
11. 2-SEP BYU +13 vs. LSU – In Houston, I'd take BYU. Back in "home game" territory, I don't know. But 13 points seems like a lot to give for an LSU team that averaged 28 last year and lost nearly half their O starters. BYU
12. 2-SEP MARYLAND +17 at TEXAS Maryland is improved, but on the road at UTx? Texas.
13. 3-SEP TEXAS A&M +4 at UCLA Ucla wins this one handily.
14. 3-SEP WEST VIRGINIA +4.5 at VIRGINIA TECH West Virginia returns only 8 total starters. Even with the points....VaTech.
15. 4-SEP GEORGIA TECH +4 at TENNESSEE I'm thinking GTech is down a notch this season. UTenn.
