The 1875 Army and the 1890 Police.
They were excellent designs, every bit as good as Colts, but Remington management made a very bad decision. They insisted on chambering the guns mostly in .44 Remington instead of the more popular and effective .45 Colt. The public wanted the .45 Colt cartridge and Remington sales plummeted to unsustainable.
I still like the looks of the 1875 Remington, and thankfully repros in .45 Colt are readily available. If I ever buy another firearm (not likely) it will be an 1875 Remington.www.uberti-usa.com/outlaw-frontier-and-police-revolvers

I'm getting older. I really don't NEED any more guns. I have my main carry gun, and a couple of others that can fill that role too.
The rest of my guns are the ones I PLAYTM with. 
There are a lot more I would love to have, if I had that type of disposable income. An old style AR-15, M1 Garand, 1903 Springfield, M-14, double barrel stage coach shotgun, S&W M19, 65 (3") and 66, and probably a few others I'm overlooking right now.
I have examples of each gun and the calibers that I really REALLY like, so anything more would be superfluous.
Fantasy and wishful thinking are nice, but reality is what it is.
Maybe I could start a GoFundMe account?

Shouldn't play with firearms...
Shooting guns is supposed to be fun. Shooting for me IS fun. I love to play with my guns.
Your life is sad when you can't go out and just enjoy shooting a black powder gun, a Colt Peacemaker, or a .22 at tin cans and such. You are brainwashed into thinking guns are only to be used for killing people. That is sick, and you are the type who anti-gunners love to hold up as an example of all of us.
You are telling Walt that he is right --------- guns are only for killing. YOU are the one who shouldn't even own a gun.
Now would you like to discuss Remington handguns, the subject of this thread, or do you simply want to continue being a useless troll? |

I'm not interested in spending all my time with guns training to kill other human beings. I don't live my life being so scared that I constantly have to work on hiding behind my gun.

The pistol I carry is to be used to apply deadly force AS A LAST OPTION. The same way the gun I carried as a cop was meant to be used.

Yes, I will take a criminal human life in order to save an innocent human life, but if there is time to negotiate, I will try that option first.
I enjoy playing with my guns. It's quite enjoyable to shoot them under no pressure, with no particular purpose in mind other than hitting what you aim at. I don't need a powerful "he man" gun to do that. A 9mm is nice easy gun to play with, but it's kind of an expensive toy, ammunition wise.
You should shoot for fun too, instead of thinking about killing all the time. |
