I carry a gun with the same mindset that all professionals do. You should study up on that some time and stop thinking the gun is your first option. You are the type who will shoot a shoplifter running from Walmart. You are willing to murder someone just because he is going into your neighbor's unoccupied house. You think a car or a boat is worth more than a human life.
Yes, I will take a criminal human life in order to save an innocent human life, but if there is time to negotiate, I will try that option first.
I enjoy playing with my guns. It's quite enjoyable to shoot them under no pressure, with no particular purpose in mind other than hitting what you aim at. I don't need a powerful "he man" gun to do that. A 9mm is nice easy gun to play with, but it's kind of an expensive toy, ammunition wise. You should shoot for fun too, instead of thinking about killing all the time. You sure talk a lot. Anyway, you don't have to explain yourself to me. It's not necessary. BTW, last I checked, murder is against the law. Wouldn't be a law abiding citizen if I did that, now would I... I consider it murder or attempted murder if you shoot someone over a property crime.
Just remember that every bullet you shoot outside of a controlled environment comes with a lawyer attached and there are a lot of anti-gun shysters out there.

Walk confident but not cocky and chances are good you will never need the gun, unless you encounter a deadly situation involving someone else. My problem is I still have that cop mentality, and I can't just stand by and let bad things happen.
I know you didn't ask, but here's one more idea: Criminals look for people who behave like victims, walking around looking unsure, timid, and vulnerable. Look everyone you meet in the eye. That doesn't mean stare them down, but the eyes can tell you a lot about a person. There's a lesson from taekwondo, and probably all martial arts. "The eyes are the window to the soul. They can show fear, pain, or where and when your opponent intends to strike."

Most people act like victims nowadays. The don't even look up from their phones let alone look you in the eye. Then they seem timid or apprehensive when they notice me looking them in the eye. Advantage, me.

Advantage, me. That's why they get hit by cars, walk into potholes or fountains at the mall (LOVE that one!) and other stupid stuff.
