Very nice, Bryan. I have a Colt 1873 SSA that I shoot at our North Alabama Regulator meets every month. It has a great feel, but the cylinder has a little play in it. It almost can't be felt but it's there. I need to get it to a quality gunsmith to get it checked out. The 7.5" barrel gives it good accuracy and range.

I already have an Uberti 1873 Colt replica (The Regulator model) with 4.75" barrel, and the "gunslinger" rig to go with it. It's more accurate than I am, and the trigger is awesome. What I like about Remington triggers is that they are wider than Colt triggers. Both my 1858 Remington cap & ball and the 1875 have those nice wide triggers.
My "Colt" is nice, but I like the Remington looks better, and they aren't quite as prolific as the Colts. If it shoots as well should be determined in the next few days.

Such as? It was a private deal. None of Uncle's beeswax.
I traded one milk cow and three large hogs for it.

It was built in 1883 and shipped to a general store in Missouri. My great-great grandfather bought it and took it to Indian Territory as his personal sidearm. It somehow stayed with the Arkansas side of the family until I begged my grandfather for it on my 13th birthday. That was my introduction to collectibles and I've added a few more since then. I just wish they all hadn't fallen over the side of the boat that tragic day.

I thought you got it from Able's. So it is used. Condition/price pls. No, I just used the Able's ad as a general pic. Mine is just like it. It's been fired, but looks and works as brand new. I'll picturefy it when I get the chance. The price is still one milk cow and three hogs.
OK, so would you believe I traded one used Blue Angels flight suit for it? ................... No, I wouldn't either.
It was a gift.
Check Gunbroker and other places and you can find the general price range on new AND used.

I just wish they all hadn't fallen over the side of the boat that tragic day. Wow an original!!! That is AWESOME. If you shoot it, use weak loads. Those things weren't made for modern smokeless loads! Manufacturers deliberately load mild loads since they don't know what gun they might be used in. I think I'd handload some black powder cartridges just for the fun of it. Or buy some ready made. www.buffaloarms.com/45-colt-250-grain-rnfp-black-powder-ammo-box-of-50-amogx45lc
I'm sure you already know all this ...... I'm just being careful for you.

I hope you both know you are violating federal law. But I'm not gonna tell if you don't. I couldn't tell if I wanted to. I don't know any names!!!
You can get around the law very easily by simply participating in the loading process. Put the bullets in the cases for the seating process. Or prime the empties. If he has a fully automated press, you're screwed.
Forgot to ask ............ does it have the cylinder pin screw in the front of the frame?
