Basketball Coaches Arrested

This is going to get ugly.

"Federal prosecutors have announced charges of fraud and corruption against 10 people involved in college basketball, including assistant coaches at Arizona, Auburn, Oklahoma State and USC."

So far CBB powerhouses Auburn, Oklahoma State and USC seem to have been named. Zona has a decent program but little else to show. School number 6 fits Louisville, as the article noted. What has this gotten them? Given Wisky doesn't get 5* and damn few 4*, this'll be interesting for me. I wonder how Trump will get involved in steering the investigation.

IIRC, It was a 5 year probation, meaning USC came off probation in 2014 or 15 depending on when the clock started.
Me, I'm still giddy over Daleko calling USC a CBB "powerhouse".

I like HC Bruce Pearl at Auburn. I hope he hasn't done anything to screw up his comeback from his NCAA troubles at Tennessee. This doesn't seem likely for him. He has broken the NCAA rules before, but not the law. As a well paid HC, he doesn't need the money. Still, to have an associate head coach do this leads one to wonder.

Not saying he's involved but Pearl is a snake going back to his days as an Iowa asst coach. There were always local Qs when he was at Wisky-Milw but given the low profile of the program, there was never any traction. You'd think he'd be immune at Aubarn from any temptation. Low expectations, what.

It's already bad for the guys arrested, and it could get real ugly with other schools in a heartbeat. This has tip of the iceberg written all over it.
