...how did a 64 year old white accountant manage to wound 500 people and kill 59 people from his hotel room in Las Vegas? People kill people, ...forks don't make you fat, cars don't drive drunks, pencils don't write in wrong answers, etc.

he was allowed to shoot for over 1 hour and 12 minutes. In an 1/12 hour, even with just a semi auto, I can rain down over 5,000 rds. He wasn't "allowed" to shoot for all that time. He had an extremely well thought-out tactical position to fire from, much the same as Charles Whitman did in 1966 and before him, L H Oswald in 1963. He controlled the high ground, and he had good defensive measures in place, apparently including a camera in the hallway to alert him of the presence of responding officers. That is basically tactical genius, and it will be interesting to eventually discover what his motive was.
He was not a street thug. Estimates place the value of his weapons at over $100,000. The mystery is not how, but WHY. And who did he study to plan his assault? Military sniper tactics? Whitman? Oswald? YES HE WAS !

0-3--You really are a dumbass ! Your twisted concept of English semantics is truly Orwellian, Dumbo Nole. Are these logical English sentences, in your dumb ass opinion? 1) "The snow plow plowed all of the heavy snow from Mr. Smith's driveway." 2) "The axe split the log cleanly in half." 3) "The plane dropped the bomb on Nagasaki."

YES HE WAS !!! do you understand the difference between being "allowed to shoot " and actually "shooting". he had @ 1 1/2 hour to shoot at will if he wanted, regardless if he did, he had that amount of time, thus he was allowed to shoot for 1 1/2 hours before police arrived. Based on the information you provided, he started shooting around 10:00 pm and his door was not breeched until @ 11:20 pm. this means he had @ 1 1/2 hours to shoot at will if he wanted. until his door was breeched by police, he was "allowed to shoot at will "into the crowd if he had wanted to. Simple fact no matter how you try to spin it. Never said when or how long he 'actually shot into the crown, only how long he actually had until the police was able to stop him.
.10:08 p.m.
There are reports “of multiple shots being fired from the direction of the Mandalay Bay towards the Route 91 concert that was taking place on the East side of Las Vegas Boulevard,” Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said Monday, per Deadline.
“I see the shots coming from Mandalay Bay, halfway up!” someone says in police scanner audio published by Broadcastify. 10:14 p.m. An officer indicates in the audio, “I'm inside the Mandalay Bay on the 31st floor, I can hear the automatic fire coming from one floor ahead, one floor above us.” 10:19 p.m. Gunfire ceases, according to a Clark County police official. Four officers also head toward the 32nd floor, Newsweek reports. 10:20 p.m. “It's been awhile since we've heard any shots," someone says in a transmission, The New York Times reports. "Does anybody have eyes on the shooter?” One minute later, an officer says, "we are taking fire from a very high floor and we believe it's possibly coming from the Mandalay Bay." 10:23 p.m. "We're getting from civilians that there might have been three shooters," an officer says in the police scanner audio. 10:24 p.m. "The room is going to be 135," someone who reports being on the 32nd floor says in the audio. 10:25 p.m. "We just spoke with security at Mandalay Bay," a voice says in the audio. "They're saying they have shots fired on 29 and 32nd levels." 10:26 p.m. "We have a security officer also shot in the leg on the 32nd floor," someone reports in the scanner audio. "He's standing right by the elevator." "He shot down the hallway and hit a security guard," the voice later says, adding that there's a "four-man" team on the floor with "another element coming to us." "We will need the 29th floor," the voice explains. "It sounds like it's confirmed there are at least two shooters with fully automatic weapons." 10:38 p.m. “We're investigating reports of an active shooter near/around Mandalay Bay Casino,” police tweet. “Asking everyone to please avoid the area.” Police report not hearing shots for 10 minutes, and they begin to clear floors, Newsweek reports. 11 p.m. Part of the Las Vegas Strip is shut down, authorities tweet. 11:20 p.m.
Around this time, the Times reports, authorities use a device to breach a Mandalay Bay room. Newsweek says the device is used at 11:21 p.m. 11:58 p.m. “Confirming that one suspect is down,” Las Vegas police tweet. “This is an active investigation. Again, please do not head down to the Strip at this time.”

0-3--You really are a dumbass ! Your twisted concept of English semantics is truly Orwellian, Dumbo Nole. Are these logical English sentences, in your dumb ass opinion? 1) "The snow plow, driven by MR. Jones, plowed all of the heavy snow from Mr. Smith's driveway. 2) "The axe split the log cleanly in half, after Mr. Jones swung it .[/b] ." 3) "The plane's captain , Mr. Jones, dropped the bomb on Nagasaki." all the above requires a person, not an object, to perform the noun.

Definition of allow transitive verb 1 a :permit "doesn't allow people to smoke in his home" b :to fail to restrain or prevent "allow the dog to roam" www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/allowDid the police give him permission to shoot? No. Did they fail to stop him? No. First they had to find him, THEN they had to clear the floor he was on, THEN they had to plan to breach the door.
Please tell the class how YOU could do it better.

DIDN'T SAY I COULD, BUT FACTS ARE FACTS, THE GUNMAN WAS ALLOWED TO SHOOT ,IF HE WANTED, FOR @ 1 1/2 HOUR BEFORE POLICE BREECHED HIS DOOR. IT should not have taken 1 1/2 hours, especially when they knew which room he was in within 10 minutes.
