He shoots a "big boy caliber" while wearing women's panties... I see you have been reading Traitor Willie's book of insults again. TOTAL FAIL.
You have to try MUCH harder than that.Pull your panties out of your crack, big boy.

So it's good enough for professional competitors but not good enough for you... LOL.. No. Read slowly. I said pro shooters can wear out A gun. ANY GUN. I did not specify any brand.
You also can't read the second part. I said I stake my life on my Glock every day. If that is not confidence in a handgun, I don't know what is.
Your problem is you think Glocks are the best handguns out there. They are NOT. They are better for some applications like concealed carry, but no better than other handguns for open carry or combat. I carry my Glock not because it is a better product than my Colt --- no way will that happen --- but because I can draw and fire it as simply as a DA revolver. But where it FAILS compared to a revolver is that if there is a bad round in the chamber, a second pull on the trigger does NOTHING. My S&W 645 at least gives me another try at a hard primer before I have to go into the chamber clearing process.
For simple range shooting, handgun hunting, or open carry, MANY handguns are just as good or better than Glocks. Your problem is that I KNOW Glock is the best. There's a reason why it's the overwhelming sidearm of choice worldwide by Law Enforcement. Especially here in the states.

There's a reason why it's the overwhelming sidearm of choice worldwide by Law Enforcement. Especially here in the states. Glock gives great deals to law enforcement. They always undercut the competition when bidding on department contracts. Glocks are widely carried because of BUDGET restraints. You can buy 2 Glocks for the price of one Colt 1911. It's simple economics -- nothing else. The majority of cops are not gun pros. They carry what their dept. tells them to, and big police departments are run by money crunchers. Hate to bust your bubble, but that's the truth. The true pistol experts, military and civilian, when given the chance, will always choose a 1911 for open combat carry. I carry my Glock because it is more suited to concealed carry, but it is in no way superior to my 1911's. Their trigger pulls and accuracy make Glock look silly. The 1911 is an expert's gun, which is why they aren't distributed to rank and file officers, and also why the military phased them out for regular troops.
Glock IS very law enforcement friendly, though. As a retired LEO, I can buy any brand new Glock I choose cheaper than YOU can. I own one Glock. It's the only one I need. More than one Glock is just redundancy in ugly.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. and why in the hell would you buy one gun when you could have TWO GLOCKS..?...!!! makes zero sense, Exactly. And like I said, there is nothing wrong with a Glock. If I thought they were crap, I wouldn't own one. I really really like my G30S.
I didn't say I would go out and buy a new Colt now. They are way too expensive for my blood. Police departments can't afford them, either. That's one of the reasons they buy Glocks. [The ignorant public also sees a cocked and locked 1911 as "unsafe."] It's also why I bought the High Standard 1911A-1 when I wanted a GI model 1911. They are identical to the old Colts (before they put in the lawyer mandated internal passive "safety features" that do nothing but bugger up the action), and the H.S. is much less expensive, but every bit as good.
I like Glocks just fine. I think the main difference between you and me is the choice of caliber, but if you prefer 9MM, I'm not going to say it's a bad choice. It's your choice, and that's what you prefer. No argument from me. The good news is that we BOTH support the 2nd Amendment and we will fight the loony lieberals side by side.

Bryan, I carried a .40 (G27) for a good many years. With the grip extension it felt great and like I said, I was fairly good with it. Would take just a few seconds from the draw to empty a magazine in an eight inch circle target at 21 feet. The .40 imo, is not that far from a .45 as far as stopping power. I get where you're coming from. You want max stopping power. The .45 delivers on that. I get it. but to me, the 9 is simply quicker, smoother and I can light matches with it. That's all I really want, dead on, pin head accuracy. God forbid I ever have to use my weapon in a crowded situation where innocent lives are all around, I want pin point accuracy. No mistakes. I want the bad guy(s) taken out and no one else. If it takes a head shot, then I want to be able to do it that with speed. and I want to be able to do that up to 50 ft. In a life or death situation, missing the target is not an option. I mess with you but I know the 9 can't compete with the .45 as far as pure stopping power goes. but It has enough for what I want. Have a great and safe Christmas. We're off to the range.

I want the bad guy(s) taken out and no one else. If it takes a head shot, then I want to able to do it that with speed. and I want to be able to do that up to 50 ft. Have a great and safe Christmas. We're off to the range. I mess with you too, Rox. There's nothing wrong with a 9mm or a .40. As I've said over and over, what someone carries is HIS choice and it SHOULD be what he is most comfortable and confident with. And if that is the most accurate round for you, I definitely want you using it, if I am one of those in that crowd. As much as I love my 1911's, they just aren't practical to carry concealed any more, which is why I carry my Glock. I don't think it's a better gun, just a better gun for a particular application --- i.e., concealed carry. You can probably outshoot me, too. But that's OK. I don't plan on getting into a shootout with you. We're on the same side.
One more reason I like the .45ACP is that it is a hell of a lot easier to handle those big bullets and big cases to reload with my fumble fingers. When I confine my caliber choices to only a few, it makes reloading so much simpler. I DO reload 9MM. but right now I have plenty of factory 9MM ammo (approx. 600 rounds) and very few components to roll my own.
Again the good news is that we are in America, and we have many different guns to choose from, AND the freedom of speech to argue about them. There will always be the caliber arguments among "gun nuts" forever, and they all have their pros and cons.
Merry Christmas to you too. My range session has to wait until at least next week.
