Great team as the current team may be. UF is likely the only team standing in way of a 3peat. The Gators will be battle tested. The Sooners will have to wait until after the regular season to see if they can live up to the enormous expectations. Not only are the Sooner players being gypped, the college softball world is being gypped by the ultra soft scheduling. Winning the last game is the ultimate goal, but how you get there matters too.

After the Friday rainouts, the Sooners played down to their competition in losing 4-3 to BU and winning 2-0 over New Mexico State. Paige Lowery pitched poorly, but Paige Parker pitched well in relief in the loss although she did commit a throwing error to 1st base. Parker pitched the shutout against New Mexico State.

Playing poorly like that yesterday, the Sooners should drop out along with Louisiana Lafayette and Oregon. The Ducks lost 1-0 to #15 Ole Miss in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico:

If UF completes the sweep of the Rajun Cajuns, the Gators will be #1 where they belong. Given the way 1 and 3 played, UF should be #1 regardless of whether they win today playing a recognized by everybody except you good program on the road at Louisiana Lafayette.

OU is 1-1 on the week against 15-20 ranked ASU and UA. Arizona beat Paige Parker today with the Sooners being held to 1 hit while being shutout.

OU won against 4 nobodies at home over the weekend to raise their record to 13-2. At least they beat the crap out of teams they should have beaten the crap out of. You're welcome Harry.

Giving credit where credit is due, Oklahoma scheduled up for 2019 after having played a nobody schedule in 2018. Apparently, I'm not the only person who thought Oklahoma needed to upgrade their schedule:
