the NCAA tourney is THEEEE cash cow for the NCAA. you really suppose they'll sell that cow? Not in a million years. However then the blanket is pulled off that cash cow and people get to see how ugly and corrupt it is Now to me and you, we've known this for many years. But for the Johnny come latelys who only watch college sports a couple times of year they won't like what they see But they will still watch the circus in March. The NCAA will enact "Sweeping Reforms that will bring integrity back to the game", and there may be a few light penalties, and nothing will change and the wallets will still get fat. I know a lot of folks don't like John Oliver, and for good reasons, but this is a great cynical look at March Madness and the NCAA overall.

After Florida beat Auburn 72-66 Saturday night, Gator fans were filmed throwing dollar bills and chanting F B I to Tiger players as they left the floor: www.seccountry.com/florida/watch-florida-fans-throw-money-auburn-players-chant-f-bOne AU player picked up some dollars and said thank you while another player tried to grab a pom pom from a fan. Bruce Pearl? He was the first to the locker room. (chuckle) Dollar Bills Raining Down & FBI, FBI, FBI, FBI, FBI. Actually, I think the AU players took the ribbing very well. I'm just glad UF doesn't owe a return game to AU this season. I like Bruce Pearl, but I find it hard to believe this stuff didn't go on in his program and he didn't know about it. It's a shame as Pearl is a fine coach of the game when not involved in off the court issues. If this sticks, it'll be the end of his career. College basketball will be the poorer for it. This type of cheating cannot be allowed to go on without punishment to Auburn and any program involved, blue bloods included, in the cheating.

John Oliver is funny and a man of truth He can be funny, but I wouldn't go so far as man of truth. His arguments are extremely one sided. He doesn't really distort facts like many do, but he doesn't look at both sides of an issue either.

It's not the schools who should provide better stipends to the players, it's the NCAA who should be writing the checks
