.......there i was, sitting at my desk in the office going over some 'paperwork' on the puter when the phone rings.......my youngest daughter is on the other end. They are in the process of going through the basement of the house they're in and will be rebuilding one side of it into an extra family room. There was this big work bench on that side of the basement, and when they moved it, they found there was a compartment on the back side. In that compartment was an old gun case. inside that old gun case is a Winchester S/S 16ga.  Dad hops in the car.....drive around the corner to their house, pick it up, and now i'm soaking it. Looks like I have a project when the TT business slows this spring. |

A niece was taking care of the place (occasionally) as the Aunt (owner) was in a "rest home" The niece put the house up for sale "as-is" with her Aunt's stipulation the neighbors would have a "say" in who bought it. The next door neighbor knows my wife well, called us and told us about the buy. paid 92.5 cash. The niece left some pretty nice antiques in the place also. Obvious the husband had passed some years before, and was a "shooter". When going through the house pre-sale, found an unopened box of 357 Super-vel ammo. The niece said she had that gun and would be taking the ammo also. |

I was referring to a stagecoach gun. But that would have shorter barrels, 18 - 20" most likely.
But I WAS wrong. Coach guns ain't all THAT expensive. Hmmmmmmm ................. maybe a new baby?

We never wanted him fired. He did a great job while he was here, until he started going all sneaky and even abandoning the team in their bowl game vs Iowa.
