How does that prove me wrong? Are you somehow disarmed if you only have (let's take it to its extreme) a 2 round magazine? Do you not "bear" a firearm and continue to have that right? .

I'm sure you can find Democrats who want to repeal it. I said MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. Heck, the poll showed a bunch of conservatives who wanted to repeal the 2nd A as well. But altogether, only about 1 in 10 strongly favor the idea, and if the NRA and gun nuts were not such unreasonable assholes it would probably be far lower than that. Face it. The NRA has become a fringe, far-right political organization in addition to being a gun-advocacy group, and you can tout all the gun-safety classes they operate that you want, but by politicizing the issue, they are hurting the 2A more than helping it. Heck, I might vote to repeal the 2nd A just to shut LaPierre and his cohorts up and see the dumbass look on their faces when it went down.

Repealing it would be a heavy lift but to answer your Q, I seem to remember a NY toadstool who did in the 103rd Session of Congress circa '93 or so. I'll look it up. 103D CONGRESS 1ST SESSION H. J.
