I never go to the Highlands neighborhood, but it's supposed to be a trendy place these days-- "re-gentrified" by a lot of younger people who work downtown and commute from the west side (across I-25 from Lo Do.) The DPD told Brad's mother that it looked like an execution style murder, with a final gun shot in the back of the head. He was not robbed, and there was no evidence of a fight/scuffle. He was not a gambler, violent, or involved with any crime, etc. So, it appears to be random, inexplicable murder. Won't matter to the mom or you as dead is dead but they'll sort it out. TV station said several shots fired, enough to scare the crap out of someone to drive into a store front.
Shooting was actually a bit South & West of Highlands, almost due W of Mile high, near Sloan's Lake in the W Colax neighborhood. I'll assume you can go from OK to deep shit pretty quick. W Colfax is considered a top ten dangerous Denver neighborhood. Daleko, I think you are referring to the OTHER murder that happened last Sunday in Denver-- on 3500 West Colfax. (That is not a very good neighborhood.) I recognize that case, because I've been studying the local crime news all week. My patient was the other Denver homicide last Sunday-- which occurred on north Grove Street, just west of Federal Blvd, in the Highlands neighborhood. The Denver Post didn't report any details about my patient until last night, other than the location of the murder.

Couldn't pull up your link from the Post and saw the TV station below it talking about a murder of a single male on Sunday. I have a old friend who moved to Denver w a corp and got rifed and started rehabbing and flipping houses in Denver incl the Highland area. I'll see if his cell is the same and give him a call.

I was trying to figure out earlier this week whether my patient was the guy who was murdered on West Colfax on Sunday, or the guy who was murdered on north Grove Street. Then I read that the guy killed on Colfax was a younger man who was shot while (?) driving in a car-- which, subsequently, crashed into a building. Times have changed here in Denver since my childhood. Homicide was such a rarity here in the 1960s. Now we have a few murders every day. I wonder if my patient was killed by one of these Sinaloa or Zeta drug cartel guys who get arrested in the area in some of these recent homicide cases. Some of these cartel guys do hide out in Denver and other local communities. I played golf at Overland Park here one day last summer with a guy from Ciudad Juarez, who seemed like he might have been some sort of cartel honcho-- designer golf clothes, shaved head, and physically buff, etc. I made the mistake of asking him about the cartel murders we read about in Juarez and he said, "I've seen murders like that at times. They only happen if guys are asking for it!" ( Needless to say, there wasn't much casual chit chat in our foursome after that comment.)

Nie der hut? Do you make a practice of posting the names of your patients on social media? It seems that this would be a violation of ethics.

He (they) has (have) no ethics. Only someone posing a psychiatrist would do such a thing.

He (they) has (have) no ethics. Only someone posing a psychiatrist would do such a thing. You trolls are truly pathetic. (I do appreciate the kind condolences of Harry and Daleko.) The subject of this thread is the tragic, senseless murder of a good guy here in Denver last Sunday afternoon. He happened to be one of my patients. But that is just a minor footnote in this tragedy. The fact that I knew him well makes the murder highly significant to me-- not simply another mind-numbing, daily homicide story in the newspaper. It's a shock-- and all the more shocking in that there appears to be no real motive. WTF??? But, instead of talking about the tragedy, you trolls have posted nothing but a series of nonsensical, ad hominem insults. Beyond pathetic...
