So ARs aren't the issue, they just happen to accept High Cap Mags, which are the issue. For the most part, yes. ARs, however, seem to have a disturbingly twisted "mass murder coolness factor" that has nothing to do with the product or machinery of the gun and all to do with its styling. It is an intangible aspect of the gun that has an effect on both the pro and anti-gun folks, so it clearly is an issue that needs to be addressed as well. we've tried. you've even parroted us. but you're still missing the point. if societies groomers did as much to advance other types of firearms as having the ability to "mass murder" then the mass murderers would be using those. Ever heard the phrase, "there is no bad publicity"? who is pushing the AR more as a device for mass murder? The manufacturer, or the nightly news? |

Had a burglar one a long long time ago, used a screw driver on him. I have no idea if he eventually died. Never heard. Didn't care. You use what's available. Rapist? Finger nails into both eyes, behind and pop them out. Doesn't take much effort. My point is a lot of things will end a life, incl a car, a hammer, screw driver, spaner, razor, trained fingers/hands/feet/arms/legs/head...................... And nowhere in a patent application does it say it's designed to kill. Well thanks for proving no one needs a gun for self defense |

Lieberals are too lazy to research that which they wish to ban. There is nothing special about an AR compared to other semiauto rifles, and just a small bit of digging on the internet would prove this.
If you can look on the net and see what Justin Bieber had for breakfast, or get the word on that woman who is engaged to Prince Harry, you damn sure can educate yourself on an AR-15. Or maybe you can't. Ignorance and prejudice are tough hurdles for lieberals to overcome. |

Estimates range around 10 MILLION for the number of AR-15's out there, and up to 100 MILLION for ALL semi-automatic rifles. How many have been used for mass murder?? |
