Of course our idiot lieberals here will say "we need more laws."
OK, I propose a few new federal laws.1) All schools shall be surrounded by 8 foot high chain length fencing, and 3 feet inside the perimeter of said fencing, three infrared sensors set at 6", 24", and 48" above ground level shall be installed. The sensors shall be monitored at all times, and each side of the perimeter to be separate of the others for accurate monitoring of any breach.
2) All schools shall be equipped with airlock doors and metal detectors at the main entry points. The interior door is locked until the subject passes through the metal detector and is "green lighted." A HUMAN operator shall then unlock the interior door to allow the subject into the building.[Note, with a large school, it would be suggested that students arrive 3 hours before school starts, just to get in] 3) All schools SHALL be equipped with armed security officers at a ratio of one officer per every 500 students.
4) Any school employee who passes a firearms self-defense class, legally owns a handgun, and who wishes to carry a gun on campus to protect himself and his students SHALL be allowed to do so.

3) Short of medical life-threatening emergency, they get NO medical care. OK, a cast for a broken arm or leg, but followup long term care shall be done in Mexico, or whatever nation they belong to.
4) Cut off all foreign aid IMMEDIATELY to any anti-American country, anywhere in the world.
5) Look into all the other aid programs the U.S. has, and defund the ones that want to use a whole kotex to stop the blood flow, when a simple BandAid "Spot" will do.
I have no idea how many money wasting programs are in effect, which were enacted by OTHER Presidents
Consider this: "Stars" have their armed bodyguards, so do Judges (and some JUDGES are armed), elected officials have armed body guards, even college football coaches have ARMED police escort [LSP, BRPD & LSU campus police]. Who pays for LA State Troopers to travel say, to Gainesville when the Tigers play the Gators in the Swamp?
WHY does cash have to be protected by a ride in an armored van with 2 armed guards? Why is money protected as humanly possible in a secure safe? Why do many banks employ armed guards to protect MONEY.
Forget the cost. Pass those laws I laid out in my previous post NOW. Raise taxes. Hey! I just became a DAMNEDOCRAT! RAISE TAXES!
I can't think of any person -- ANY person -- who would turn down a tax that is earmarked ONLY for school security.
I'll say it again --- a tax that is earmarked ONLY for school security. No pork, or other riders on the proposed , ummm ...what shall we call it?
How about "The Grade School Super-Security Bill." The schools once protected, shall change their names to Fort (Pick-yer-own-name) Educational Center.

LOL.. Well, well. We agree. Now you are catching on. There is no such thing as a free lunch. You want something? Society has to pay. We can argue about WHAT gets funded, but do not pretend any of it has no price tag. Teachers in 3 states are striking over funding. That is the reality. As the song says, "You want it, you got it" Just have your wallet nearby.
The problem is that our fearless leaders cannot agree on what those critical programs ARE. EVERY worker [TEACHER] wants a raise, but they must have something that they can work with --- in this case, live students, to justify getting that raise.
If you really want to keep children safe in schools, yes, you turn schools into mini-prisons. And you PAY to have it done. In a "safe school" bill, there should be ZERO mention of that sinkhole near a subdivision, neither should be a new upgraded city park where the druggies and whores can do their work.
Yes, it would be expensive, but it is time to REALISTICALLY look at budgets and start trimming the fat.
The Democrat way is to try and feed 200 cows on 100 lbs. of grain, while pumping 20,000 more gallons of water into the duck pond that is about to overflow its banks already. That don't work.
The bill should address only
SCHOOLS
A. Hardening thereof
B. Protection by full-time armed guards
C. Backup/reserve protection by fully trained and competent individual employees who VOLUNTEER to carry weapons in order to assist the fulltimers. They could even train together, because familiarity with your comrades (recognition of faces, walking styles, distinct voices) goes a long way in preventing incidents of wounding by friendly fire.
I am going to take a wild guess that you are not a fireman. If your or your neighbor's house caught on fire, would you be willing to run up and help haul a hose when you saw the firemen were undermanned? YES you would! I have played fireman in a cop suit, and so have many others. In a real crisis, we throw off our teacher/architect/butcher/house painter hats and transform for a time into crisis-stoppers! It's not a black-white-rich-poor-catholic-Jew-young-old issue ---- just a HUMAN one.
And let me tell you, a fully charged 2.5" line is HEAVY when you need to drag it more than 50 feet. |
