I'm not the one claiming a 9MM or .40 is better than a .45. Do I think a .45 would do better? I carry the .45 for a good reason.
I will continue to protect my life with nothing less than a .45ACP or .45 Colt. I carried a .38 only because my 645 is too big and heavy to make a good carry gun, and it was the only .45ACP I owned for a while.
Do what YOU want to ............ it's your hide.
I personally hope that presenting that big hole at the front end of my gun to an aggressor will be enough to end the incident.
