WCWS Game 2: Washington 2 Oklahoma 0 Don't you just hate it when I'm right? I do. Yes, I'd have preferred a UF vs. OU final series. Your Sooners will still get their chance to move forward. I don't see anyway that ASU will get by OU on Saturday. It was surprising and impressive for the Huskies to shutout OU. It looks like the top of the PAC, Oregon/UCLA/Washington, are as good as advertised. I'm concerned that UCLA has the potential to embarrass UF in the late game on Friday night. When the Bruins finally got rolling against the FSU, they looked like an offensive juggernaut. Their top pitcher is awesome and they hit all the way through their lineup. The Gators will have to play their best just to keep it close. JMHO, UF doesn't have the firepower to keep up with the Bruins. Don't be misled by what the Gators did against UGALY's substandard pitching staff. Once UGALY lost their ace 5 weeks ago, it was predestined that things would end up badly for the poodles against the best of the best. I predicted a UF win over UGALY coming into the WCWS. I am have a hard time seeing a path forward for the Gators against UCLA. Oregon vs. Washington is going to be a heckuva game. The Ducks must have been on quite a roll when they went to Seattle and swept the Huskies. It should be a terrific early evening game on Friday night.

If the video comes through, start at about 1:20. Can't take anything away from Washington, though. They played a great game.

Gators looked awesome, lots of power there!. I also watched the nightcap with UCLA and FSU. Good game, thought FSU blew it but that's how the game is played. I wish the announcers would not show their bias and do a lot less commentating. It was obvious they were pulling for the Bruins. If the Gators play tonight like they did last night, Bruins are in for some hibernation time. I think OSU can make a comeback.

WCWS Game 6: Florida 5 UCLA 2 Well, that's what it should have been. A Bruin site said it better than the ESPN announcers who called the play at the plate a great play by the Florida defense and a blown call by the home plate ump: A Bruin site said it better than the ESPN announcers: www.bruinsnation.com/ucla-softball/2018/6/1/17419892/ucla-softball-bruins-come-back-again-as-garcia-strikes-out-15The ESPN crew also repeatedly called the strike zone bad which is what got Tim Walton tossed from the game when he finally complained to the home plate ump after the bottom of the 6th inning. How an ump like this can be behind the plate in the WCWS is beyond my comprehension. He was so bad that he was either inept or corrupt. I don't remember Tim Walton ever being ejected from a game before. The real score after a complete screwing of the Gators by the home plate ump. UCLA 6 Florida 5 As the above article said, "it's better to be lucky than good." It's a shame the WCWS was tainted in this way by the home plate ump. The affects of his performance are likely irreversible. It's a horrible thought, but it's like the fix was in for UCLA. I was wrong about one thing going into the game. The Gators have the firepower to play with UCLA and anyone else in college softball.

Home plate umpire was terrible!!!! Whoever hired him should reconsider ever letting him work a game of this importance again. Occasionally an umpire will miss a call but this guy was terrible. When the commentators start oohing and aahing over his mistakes, you know its bad and as I said before, I think they showed favoritism to the UCLA women. One thing is for sure, there are no virgins on the Florida team, the ump screwed them all last night.

That would be fine with me, I don't watch the NBA.
