Different players, different teams and different circumstances. Personally, I think Lebron is as good of a player, if not better, than Jordan. Again, personal opinion only. I would put Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson ahead of LeBron James That's fair...as I said in another post, if I were starting a team, Magic is the first player I would choose. Best all-around player I ever watched. Best 3 all-around I've ever seen are Magic, Bird and Lebron. Personal preference is all. Kobe and Jordan are also phenomenal talents, no argument there. Some of the old guys could play too...Wilt, Russell, Jabbar, Robertson, West, Havlicek and no doubt I'm missing some.

To try to get this back to basketball, Boston reminded me of the early MJ Bulls teams, a little too green to be able to deal with the gravity of the moment and thus not yet ready to claim a title. I'm getting real close to saying that LaBron is the greatest basketball player I've ever seen play the game. lebron is the greatest and i don't even know why it's still a debate. i guess debating his greatness provides great content for people. boston is young and fast and well coached. they will be around for a while. Time and place. Different era, w different rules, w a different game strategy breed difference of opinions. The game that LJ thrives in wasn't around "back when". LJ carries a team, others, in their day, carried a league. IMO, enjoy his talent and let history age a bit then review. If you want to suggest he's one of the best one on one players, not needing a "feeder" perhaps so. Two on two, first to 10 buckets, pick Kareem or Wilt and the best PG is available. Heck pick the Big O.

I would put Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson ahead of LeBron James LeBron has gotten to the finals with no other all stars on his team. That says a lot. Magic had 3 HOFrs, Kobe, two or maybe three. MJ had at least one HOF teammate. Face it. The Cavs only MAYBE make the playoffs without him. Cannot say that about any Laker team or Bulls team.

I guess you can speculate he's playing against for Hall of Famers Michael Jordan actually played against the 8990 Pistons who had Isaiah Thomas Joe Dumars Dennis Rodman all in the Hall of Fame Bill Laimbeer who is probably the next to go into the Hall of Fame And before you say well those games weren't in the finals all you have to do is look at the teams Jordan played in the finals and their rosters are loaded with Hall of Famers

The era he played was more physical than today. Today for LBJ there is replay and flagrant fouls (1 & 2). Its difficult to say with 2 different eras. MJ's HOF'ers opponents are probably better than LeBRONs' as I look at your list and mine.

Fair enough I gotta agree. The Laker/ Piston finals in the 80s could never happen today. Those finals were out and out wars. The handchecking rule and the low post rule have totally changed the game. Barkley's low post game and claim to fame is not even legal today.

LeBron is one game away from a second finals sweep of his career. While making the finals 8 straight times ( even though Michael Jordan went six straight times and won every one of them and could possibly have won eight Straight had he not played baseball) a 3-6 record is not that impressive for someone being compared to Jordan. Even Robert Horry had 6 or 7 rings
