What does that mean? It means don't expect your fatal shot to instantly stop a bad guy. Here we see a dead man drive away from a traffic stop after he has wounded a trooper. Don't think what you see in the movies or on TV happens in real life.

Great example of what REAL life, or death, is like.

Great example of what REAL life, or death, is like. Yep, a lot of people who are shot act like what they THINK someone who is shot should act. Moral: Just because you are hit doesn't mean you are out. Fight back.
One of the bad guys (Platt) in the Miami FBI shootout was fatally wounded by the very first FBI shot (9MM!) at the beginning of the fight, but he managed to kill 2 agents and wound 5 more before he was finally stopped by Agent Morales, who only hastened Platt's inevitable death.

the 9mm round did not release any of its kinetic energy during pass through, only enough momentum energy to pass through. .45 hydroshok would have blown both lungs up. he's have been down, and out in 15 seconds or less.

1) As Platt climbed out of the passenger side car window, one of Dove's 9mm rounds hit his right upper arm and went on to penetrate his chest, stopping an inch away from his heart. The autopsy found Platt’s right lung was collapsed and his chest cavity contained 1.3 liters of blood, suggesting damage to the main blood vessels of the right lung. This was the primary injury responsible for Platt’s death.
2) It is estimated that Platt was shot again shortly afterwards, this time by Risner [9MM]. The bullet penetrated Platt's right upper arm, exited below the armpit and entered his torso, stopping below his shoulder blade. The wound was not serious.
3 Mireles reached the driver's side door, extended his revolver [.38 SPECIAL +P] through the window, and fired his sixth shot at Platt. The bullet penetrated Platt's chest and bruised the spinal cord, ending the gunfight.
Where are all those rounds that "passed through?" There are none, other than those that created only superficial wounds to start with!
Matix was rendered unconscious early on, and was not much of a factor in the shootout. Neither man was on any kind of drug.
