1. No posts are acceptable that don't address some portion of the theme of the thread. By that I mean, a post that simply says, "You're full of shit" or "Well, that's just how idiot liberals (or conservatives) think" or, "that's because Trump (Schumer) is a traitor", is not acceptable, because it does not state a reason WHY a person is constipated or an idiot or a traitor. No photos of midgets, no GIFs or memes with subheadings are allowed. In short, no gratuitous posting that isn't original and with an explanation. Thus, an acceptable post might be, "Bull! X happened and Y grew by Z%. You're full of shit." with a link to that data, because it rebuts the stated point.

2. No posts that simply cut and paste in total from some article. If you don't have something original to say in your own words, don't post here. No Paul Krugman columns, no Victor Hansen Davis columns. Similarly, no YouTubes either. Posts here must be original thoughts from the poster. You are allowed to cut and paste salient points of some article you've read, so for instance, a quote from Trump or Pelosi or Krugman or Davis or whatever that aids your point is acceptable, but only as exemplars of your stated point of view or comment.

3. All posts that cite a statistic or some statement by a person or entity must have a link to where the information or quote can be found.

Posts or threads that violate these rules will either be deleted or moved to the wilder old politics board.

However, can you please pin the rules of this thread to the top. For other's and newbies. Thanks

I don't mind that topics wander from where they started, but it's lame to have to plow through 10 posts of you whining about my opinion of "the rules", so I will delete them every time.
If you want to whine about that, start your own thread about it and quit cluttering up other unrelated threads.

Even in a board with strict rules, Walter lets one of his favorites skate after deleting two of Freds post. This on the first day. How he favors his favorites.
