According to this guy, as long as you use something more potent than a .32, handgun caliber doesn't matter much when stopping gremlins.
I will withhold my own judgement till I have a shot a bad guy with all the different calibers listed.
Might be a while ............

I don't see 10mm on that chart. I would guess because it hasn't been used enough to be included in REAL shooting incidents. To know for sure, you will have to contact the guy who conducted the study.
I don't see .45 Colt on that chart either, and it being older than all of the other handgun rounds, it should have a really high score.
