Lee-Enfield No. 2 Mk IV .22 RF single shot training rifle.
I don't know its actual birthday, but the "FTR 1954" stamped on the receiver means it was Factory Totally Refurbished in 1954. Since the refurbishment, its condition indicates it might have had 50 rounds at most through it in the last 63-64 years. You feed a single round into the chamber, and when you work the bolt, the empty falls into the empty magazine shell. Or you can remove the mag shell and let the empties drop straight to the ground.
At 8.8 lbs., it should be a pretty steady shooting beast.
These are stock photos for now. I'll try to get photos of mine tomorrow. Don't have the bayonet yet, but one may follow me home soon.

Yep. The Lee-Enfield is a classic military rifle that has been used successfully around the world for many years. People in less sophisticated countries are STILL using them, in .303 of course. Afghanistan, for one.
An American has to get used to them because the striker cocks as the bolt is closed.

Your rifle is pretty with a side of ugly. Naaaaaaah ........... it's not pretty, just pretty cool. I shot a Calibri from it a few moments ago, and all I heard was the snap of the striker falling. The 25.5" barrel really keeps the noise away from your ears. Noise? LOL!!
