Me likey!
My youngest daughter came by the house this afternoon and showed me her Taurus PT709. It's a 7+1 striker-fired 9MM that's pretty dang small! I like the way it handles and the trigger feels very nice. It also has double-strike capability which is not real common in a striker fired pistol.
They are very inexpensive ............
I haven't shot it myself, so I'll reserve final judgement. If it passes THAT test, who knows? I haven't reloaded 9MM ammo in a long time either, but I guess I could start if needed.

From what I understand, it is Taurus REVOLVERS that have had the most problems in the past. Taurus' QC has reportedly gotten much better. |

Wish your youngest luck. They are inexpensive to buy, so there is that and their warranty service is the best and generally turns around their repairs quickly. And they are busy. From what I understand, it is Taurus REVOLVERS that have had the most problems in the past. If it's not American, it's German and Austrian in my safe. Brazilian? Meh... that's only for the crotch area. You are missing out. My High Standard 1911A-1 is a great pistol. The Filipinos make excellent firearms.
And the AK-47 is still unsurpassed as the world's best combat battle rifle.
