yep..........good thing lots of teams didn't have to play Purdue once them clowns quit shooting themselves with stupid penalties in the 4th quarter of the majority of their losses. would have been a 10-2 team except for brainfarts. turns out USC didn't have either |

MITSUBISHI MOTORS LAS VEGAS BOWL ARIZONA ST (7-5) VS #21 FRESNO STATE (11-2) -4.5 – GAME IN LAS VEGAS pretty good 1st yr for herm edwards in tempe; winning season and those 5 losses were by a td/less. fsu gets up playing pac 12 foes, but a power 5 team an underdog? asu has the much better offense even w/star wr n'keal harry sitting the game out, and teams off an underdog ccg win like the bulldogs are just 3-11-1 ats in bowls. arizona stateFCS SEMI-FINAL MAINE (10-3) AT EASTERN WASHINGTON (10-2) -11.5 – GAME IN CHENEY, WA last week maine benefitted from 5 weber state turnovers and still barely won. eastern washington's offense is less likely to make those mistakes. a big number to cover, but... eastern washington.AUTONATION CURE BOWL TULANE (6-6) VS LOUISIANA (7-6) +3.5 - GAME IN ORLANDO, FL too bad these two louisiana schools have to go to orlando to play this one. the green wave has the edge on defense, the ragin' cajuns the better offense imho. bowl dogs who lost their ccg are 16-8-1 ats vs opponents off an ats loss. louisiana-lafayette.RAYCOM MEDIA CAMILLIA BOWL GEORGIA SOUTHERN (9-3) VS EASTERN MICHIGAN (7-5) +2.5 – GAME IN MONTGOMERY AL. just the 2nd bowl trip for emu since '87. pretty impressive 1st full season for gsu coach chad lunsford, taking them from 2-10 to 9-3. they got back to the run attack that defined them (gsu actually threw no picks this year... only fbs team to achieve that). but emu held army to its lowest rushing output (4.0 yds/carry) all season. i think they have an edge on both sides of the ball, and bowlers who won 2/less games the previous season are just 16-35-1 su, 3-10 ats the last 13 as a favorite. eastern michigan.R+L CARRIERS NEW ORLEANS BOWL MIDDLE TENNESSEE (8-5) VS APPALACHIAN STATE (10-2) -7 – GAME IN NEW ORLEANS 4th straight bowl for both teams. app state took psu to ot in sept, and won the initial sun belt ccg. the 'eers are stout defensively, but they lost their coach to louisville, and i like the blue raiders' qb, brent stockstill, a 3 yr starter, the head coach's son. interim coaches are just 13-23-1 ats in bowls off a win. love the points here; middle tennessee state.12/18 TUESDAY GAME CHERIBUNDI BOCA RATON BOWL NORTHERN ILLINOIS (8-5) VS ALABAMA-BIRMINGHAM (10-3) -2.5 – GAME AT BOCA RATON, FL love the uab story. program shut down in '15, reinstated last year and the blazers go 8-4, and improve to 10 wins this season. niu has been the class of the mac for most of the last decade. the huskies played the toughest ooc in the country imho (at iowa, at utah, fla state; i wonder if that qualifies niu for power 5 status in et's world-lol). both teams are run-oriented with good defenses. my choice here would be to take the under (43.5), but if forced to make a choice i'll go with alabama-birmingham.12/19 WEDNESDAY GAME DXL FRISCO BOWL OHIO (8-4) VS SAN DIEGO STATE (7-5) +3 – GAME IN FRISCO, TX these two finished the season in opposite directions. the bobcats won 5 of their last 6, scoring 48/game, while the aztecs lost their last 3, 2 of them as double-digit favorites. classic matchup of ou's run-attack (262/game, 6.1/carry) vs sdsu's stop-unit (95 yds/game, 2.7/carry). the mountain west is 6-1 su/ats vs the mac in bowls lately, and the bobcats' leaky d concerns me. the dog in the aztecs' games this year are 11-1 ats. make it 12-1. san diego state.Read more: aolcfboutcasts.proboards.com/thread/39403/week-16-bowl-season-round#ixzz5ZgQCPcbr |
