A company I worked for did a job outside Cincinnati years ago. We went and found a motel in Oxford Oh., the town Miami Ohio is in. Really cool town. Had a blast at some of the local college bars. |

you guys realize this is Miami of Ohio, and not Miami Florida? A company I worked for did a job outside Cincinnati years ago. We went and found a motel in Oxford Oh., the town Miami Ohio is in. Really cool town. Had a blast at some of the local college bars. one of my sisters graduated from there many moons ago. roomed w/jack kemp’s daughter all 4 years. attracts high quality kids from around the midwest. not too long ago it was the best public university in the state (in the 2000’s tosu has challenged that ranking). not sure lately, but it used to have a great bar scene (not much else to do in oxford, but a nice state park called hueston woods-w/a great golf course-is nearby). I always liked the fact that both the streets and the buildings were all brick... so if you were flat on your back drunk you could convince yourself you were just leaning up against a wall. |

LOL We never got that bad. We usually went to one that served food ( and pretty good food too) until a certain time , and then was just basically a bar after that. We were in there every night and we tipped really well. So one night when we got there after the kitchen had closed the waitresses talked the cook into making us dinner. We would usually have one guy pay the bill , and the rest of us would leave the tip. There was 6 of us and we all had steaks and ribs so the bill was pretty good. Our foreman picked up the bill and asked the waitress what she wanted for a tip when he paid with a credit card. She declined because apparently we had tipped her more than what the bill was lol. First time I had ever seen a waitress turn down a tip. We spent the rest of the evening at the bar with there drink rolladesk . We dropped probably 600 hundred dolllars or better in there that night lol. |
