It's novel technology. Even if they know the ingredients, since it has never been used before, they cannot possibly know the LT effects.
I got a green light from my onco-guy and the chemo pharmacist to get the shot literally 15 minutes before an immunotherapy infusion. According to them, the vax is apparently VERY specific in triggering a narrowly tailored immune response.
..and, coming up on 200 million shots without a single death, empirical evidence would seem to bear that out.

Hi guys. I have to weigh in on this conversation.
Since this covid stuff started, I have had to deal with massive numbers of public. Customers who have had total disregard for me and anyone else in the sales industry.
I have had people walk up to 12 inches from my face. Masks were not given out until the 3rd week of May. Personally I hate masks. The company I have worked for is only after the almighty dollar. IMO, they should be providing vaccines for all of their employees. But they won't.
My son has gone thru covid. My sister and her husband now have it. The doctors for the past 3 weeks have been diagnosing her husband with pnuemonia because the covid test done 5 times keeps coming up negative. He is 0 negative. For some stupid reason, some people can have covid and have negative test results.
2 nights ago, his lung collapsed. They found many blood clots in his lungs which, when tested, now are showing he has had covid for 3 weeks.

For the sake of my freedom, I have gotten my first vaccine shot, via the local hospital. No side affects, just a sore arm. I got the shot yesterday.
I cannot do anything but vote, to save my right to free speech and to protect my right to bear arms. But if I have to get a lousy shot to keep my freedom to travel and hopefully go see my Mom again. Than I will.

President Trump is responsible for the production of this vaccine and he is the reason so many millions have been getting shots before O'Biden was even sworn in. Without President Trump fast tracking the vaccine and cutting the red tape to do it, we the people would still be waiting and far more people would be dead!

Oh, and Cuomo is a POS!

Good to see you again, Coal. Hope things start looking up and your BIL recovers quickly. I'm 50/50 on getting the vaccine, but in the end I think you are correct...without it most likely will be prevented from traveling.

I received a recent bulletin from MGH (the Massachusetts General Hospital.)  The incidence of serious anaphylactic reactions to the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines is minimal -- roughly comparable to the anaphylactic risks with antibiotics.

The risk of death or long-term medical complications from COVID-19 (irreversible lung, heart, kidney, and brain damage) is much higher.

There's a lot of bad information out there on social media nowadays.  Consider the sources carefully.

Lastly, consider not just your own health risks from COVID-19, but the risks to those around you if you get infected.
