Newsflash. The Florida numbers need to be taken with a grain of salt, given Trumpster Ron DeSantis's history of fudging his COVID mortality stats during the past year. How many deaths are you claiming have been hidden? As you know, the story you posted doesn’t give any numbers. Sure they do. Study the multiple references I posted during the past year about DeSantis's dubious stats in relation to anomalous, elevated death rates in the Sunshine State. Part of your problem is that you never read the evidence-based articles that I post. The only "references" that you ever post here are from disinformation sites-- from Murdoch's propaganda empire or the Koch-funded stink tanks.

I'll even give you a hand in answering.
One of the "evidence-based" articles you claim I never read listed what is referred to as excess deaths in Florida at about 4,900.
Is 4,900 your number? If so, confirm. If not, explain and post your own number.

4,900 was the estimated Florida under-count in the recent analysis published in the American Journal of Public Health.
How does that corrected death tally compare with climate- and population density- matched locales in the tropics? For example, how do Florida's COVID death stats compare with Hawaii's?

What is an "excess death?" Dying twice? Dying without Bitem's permission? Dying by something other then COVID, which is not particularly fatal by percentage of known cases?
Who is to say that someone who is alleged to have died due to an overblown virus would not have been hit by a truck anyway? Only GOD decides the moment of someone's death.
When a person dies of loneliness in a care facility because their loved ones were BANNED from being with them to give that natural human closeness, is that a COVID death? How many people has the gov't murdered by putting them in solitary confinement unnecessarily?
Now if Corona beer sales have gone up thanks to the fake COVID hysteria, THAT I would believe. When Demoncrats do not want you to go back to living your normal life, which is safe to do so, I guess sitting at home drinking a lot would be one consequence of their stupidity.

It's an estimate of what deaths "should" be in a given year, versus what they actually are. With Covid, the "excess death" numbers are higher and likely that's true in every state. Think of it as kind of an actuarial table.
