Nice fold Fold? I pointed out that it is a wildly expensive toy that has absolutely no practical use.
I'm sure there are idiot lieberals out there who will waste their money on that crap, but not me.
Meanwhile, I filled up my car this morning. Regular unleaded gas ---- $3.00/gallon.
Thanks, Senile Sloppy Joe, you dumbfuck!
Bubbles says, Rent Free 24/7 Anyway, that car is totally useless except for fun. It's gotta be a helluva kick in pants getting the lead out in that thing. Gas. Cheapest in Santa Rosa, CA was at Costco the other day- $4.49. That's the CHEAPEST. Cheapest in Vegas the other day was at Costco as well- $3.35 Meanwhile, the homeless are getting more violent and cars and work trucks are brazenly broken into almost nightly in our quiet neighborhood. Property crime is going through the roof. These people are meth addicts and living dead. We don't have homeless camps. Let's call them what they really are- drug addict camps. Liberal parents are quickly becoming conservatives over all the covid bullshit. Wife is about to have a nervous breakdown over the crap she deals with daily at school. Liberal parents and teachers here HATE Gavin Newsome. Pretty shocking considering how extreme liberal they are in general.

Where do I seat 4 grandkids and carry 200 pounds of luggage? Does it have multiple redundancies in the operating systems? How effective is the firewall that separates the battery compartment from the passenger occupant compartment?
How many of these will the average family be able to afford?
How far can it take me on a charge, and then do I have to wait 4 hours or 8 to carry on with my trip??? Recharge times are down to as little as a half hour to 40 minutes. www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/here-are-12-of-the-fastest-charging-electric-vehicles-you-can-buy-today/ar-AASZdju?ocid=msedgntpRange is about the same as a gasoline car, about 300 miles.

For long dist travel, I'll wait for solid state in autos/trucks. But that's just me, perhaps. Rented a Hyundai Sonata that had a 16 gal tank and got an easy 37. That's 8 hrs. Traveling alone, when I go from St L to Milw, I don't want to stop. That's 5.5 to 6 hrs. When I go to East of Atl I don't want to stop. A bit under 9. I can do it and did in a F150 w a 36 gal tank. But I get it most aren't point to point drivers but 300 is an average incl city. And hell I get that plus now, from a 21 yr old pick up. Did 600 miles in a Toyota Camry Hybrid, w an 11 gal tank. I'll wait for Solid State. Hopefully the .gov doesn't give money away to buy dated battery technology, that'll soon be obsolete.

While that technology will improve as well, IMO, this as well as battery technology, is like the old issue with color TVs. Nobody wanted them because no TV shows were in color, and nobody made TV shows in color because nobody owned a color TV. It took RCA, a company that both made color TVs and owned NBC at the same time to bust down the door to color TV proliferation. Will there be Betamax car batteries? Most certainly. In the long run, does that matter? No. What matters is pushing the technology and acceptance, (and thereby, demand) over the top, as RCA managed to do singlehandedly to color TVs, and if .gov can accelerate that, I'm all for it. BTW, recharging an electric battery is the equivalent of roughly 100 MPG in gasoline terms.

Solid State batteries for vehicles will negate the need for the other option, IMO. The replacement to 30 yr old technology batteries is about here for EVs. Sorting out some details. I’ll wait a bit. You do as you choose. If you want .gov in, they need to look beyond that. IMO.

When I was working we drove 3500 chevy express vans, and most of the time had a 16 double A fame trailer behind it. We got 350 w/o the trailer 250- 300 w/it depending on how much weight we had. We had 35 gallon tanks though. we did a car dealership in Warwick RI, and drove straight through from Ocala Fl. 1200 miles in less than 16 hrs. Won't do that in any electric car or truck

Were you going 90 the whole time? It takes us 11 hours to go straight through to Vegas with only one stop for gas. About 610 miles and only 1 or 2 quick pee breaks..

We found out that if you hit NYC at the wrong time it will take you up to 3-4 hours to get through there. Same with DC and Richmond.

Coming home, we'd roll up early and head out. It would take us +/- 5 hours to drive the first 400 miles and 2 hours to drive the last 30 once we hit LA. We figured out we could work the whole day and get home close to the same time by missing rush hour.
