More totally unconstitutional insanity oozing from the state of Commiefornia .............
It IS a good idea to have some kind of liability insurance if you are going to carry a gun in public, but you really only need it if you are a concealed carrier, and no way should it be made mandatory!
And before you lieberal idiots bring up car insurance, remember ---- driving is NOT a constitutionally protected right. Gun ownership IS.

I have to admit that I don't have the CC insurance, instead depending on my incredible luck that I will never have to use my gun outside of my home.
I have seen those policies, but I haven't read all the fine print (they ARE written by lawyers!) so I'm skeptical about what actual good they would do. My coverage is quite good but it's $300/year.

That type of insurance is not what the San Jose law is asking for, as I understand it. They are asking for coverage for side effects of a discharge of the firearm and/or loss of the firearm by theft or misplacement. IOW, if you shoot off your gun on New Year's eve and the neighbors call the cops, expect a bill from the city for the personnel time to respond to the call. If you accidentally shoot a family member in the face, you'll get a bill from the city for the city man-hours responding to the accident. If you put a hole in the neighbor's wall, your neighbor can sue you to fix it. If your gun is stolen and then discharged someplace by someone else and you didn't report it stolen in a timely manner, your policy would be liable for damages it might cause. All of that coverage will be a rider to your homeowner's policy. It's a great idea if you ask me. |

Do they charge for the time they spend when you break a traffic law and cause a wreck? Do they charge for the time spent looking for someone like Senile Joe Bidem who has wandered off and can't find his way back home? Do they charge you for the firefighters when you leave a pot on the stove and set your kitchen on fire?
NO! You can't be charged a fee for actually exercising a RIGHT. This one won't hold up in any real court.

Right now I'm mostly consumed about the numbers of murders in the 18th Judicial District of Louisiana that are being covered up by both corrupt and incompetent cops, DA's, and their cronies. In the 14 years since I left, things have gotten pretty shitty around here. I'm becoming a bit of a target for speaking out against the corruption.

I can't remember everything I talk to everyone about.
Right now I'm mostly consumed about the numbers of murders in the 18th Judicial District of Louisiana that are being covered up by both corrupt and incompetent cops, DA's, and their cronies. In the 14 years since I left, things have gotten pretty shitty around here. I'm becoming a bit of a target for speaking out against the corruption.
Under democrat destruction everything is turning to shit everywhere. Even my once pristine untouched neighborhood is now prowled nightly by homeless tweekers stealing everything they can get their hands on. I have solar powered motion lights all around the house as do a few of my neighbors. If we didn't park our cars in the garage we would surely have had our cat converters stolen by now. No one here would've imagined it would ever be like this in a million years. Parents at my wife's school who are lifelong flaming liberals are turning quickly away from democrat elected liberalism. Even the radical liberal parents are getting really pissed off now. CA may actually turn back to red sometime soon by measuring how the parents feel. I'm just hoping to get out of this shithole state unscathed and take that communistic mag release shit off my AR's and slam home my 20 and 30 round mags in a free state where you can drive down the road and go shooting pretty much wherever you please... |

The general feel of the area has been completely destroyed here.
