To answer your Q, Yes and yes. In the US, why does a vehicle need to be registered if it will never be operated (driven, towed, pushed, etc) on a public road? There are old "farm/ranch trucks" that never see a public road. Scattered throughout the USA. Though Cali may be an exception. Most other states yawn. How about living on the res. In Cali most fees are exempt but they should register. But if the res disagrees, who's going to enforce it? Hell, you can't even collect sales tax on tangibles. So is the Res another exception? Sounds optional to me. So do the same for guns then. If your gun never leaves your property, I agree with you. In CA, you'd send in for a 'non-operating' exemption that says you won't carry it on public streets. Once it passes onto public property however, you need to make it street legal and register it. Sorry. You STILL don't get it. Keeping and bearing arms is a RIGHT. Nowhere does the Constitution say that that right applies only while on my own property. Nowhere do I need permission from the gov't to exercise a RIGHT. I understand the restriction on machine guns and other true weapons of war, but semiautomatic sporting rifles do NOT meet that standard.
Driving on a public road is NOT a right. It is a privilege.
PLEASE educate yourself on the difference between "right" and "privilege." At your age, you SHOULD know. Where did you go to school?

It is a danger to give the federal government a list of all legal gun owners. The federal security agencies are already tracking every phone call made and searching for words and phrases that concern them. Imagine a president determined to grab guns. Check those on the list, search their calls for certain words or phrases that Liberal judges will accept and charge these people with a crime, raid their homes and seize their guns, and haul them to court. Even if they are eventually found inncent, they will be bankrupt and the feds can force them to go to court again to get their guns back. Instead, have each state require their county sheriff to maintain the list and have a national computer network where any law enforcement agency can post inquiries. Those inquiries would then go to all sheriffs departments to check serial numbers with their records. Local is better because they respond better to local needs. Imagine if a POTUS wanted to seize all the cars! Oh, my! The danger!! Why must we have a national register of cars and trucks? What if the Chinese and/or Russians invade and decide to take all the cars to make sure you cannot move around? What then?! "Car registration" is for revenue purposes.
And we do NOT have a national registration of motor vehicles that I know of, other than aircraft. Maybe there is something for interstate trucking, but I'm not a truck driver so I don't know. In case you haven't noticed, your car most likely has CALIFORNIA license plates, not U.S. ones.
The more you post, the dumber you get.

House GOP Leaders Tell Members to Vote Against All 8 Gun Safety Measures Before Congress www.mediaite.com/politics/house-gop-leaders-tell-members-to-vote-against-all-8-gun-safety-measures-before-congress/
June 7, 2022 Republican House leaders urged their members on Tuesday to vote against a series of gun control bills that the Democrats plan to bring to a vote on Wednesday. The GOP released a “whip notice,” according to reporting from Insider, urging a “no” vote on all eight bills, which the memo referred to as the “Unconstitutional Gun Restrictions Act.” The House minority whip, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), claimed in the notice that the Democrats have “thrown together this reactionary package comprised of legislation that egregiously violates law-abiding citizens’ 2nd Amendment rights and hinders Americans’ ability to defend and protect themselves and their families.” Scalise gave a press conference on Wednesday and raised eyebrows by comparing gun control efforts to the response after the 9-11 terror attacks and said, “there wasn’t a conversation about banning airplanes.” Scalise’s notice also “noted the opposition of the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America, including links to talking points from the NRA about both the gun package and the red flag law,” Insider reported. The whip also warned members that Heritage Action for America, the conservative Heritage Foundation’s political arm, also opposed the measures. “Due to the importance of this issue, votes on this legislation will be considered in future candidate ratings and endorsements by the NRA Political Victory Fund,” the memo adds.

June 8, 2022
A new Quinnipiac poll finds Americans overwhelmingly support raising the minimum legal age to buy any gun to 21 years old nationwide, 74% to 24%.
Vast majorities also support requiring background checks for all gun buyers and a so called “red flag” law, but among registered voters support has weakened for a nationwide ban on the sale of assault weapons.

Talk about a low bar... Geez... Does any same person actually believe that teenagers should be allowed to buy AR-15s? Fair enough, how about handle and use, w sufficient training?I suppose Switzerland would have the best data on that concept. But, speaking as a psychiatrist, I have trouble with the concept of angry, unstable teenagers (or adults) being allowed to buy AR-15s. It's, frankly, nuts. Apparently, 75% of Americans agree with me. The other 25% are the loony wing nuts who have been brainwashed by our wing nut propagandists.

As the election approaches, let's not forget that the GOP is largely responsible for the epidemic of mass shootings in the 21st century U.S.A.

As the election approaches, let's not forget that the GOP is largely responsible for the epidemic of mass shootings in the 21st century U.S.A. You're digging up your threads from months ago again? It's also a LIE. The GOP isn't responsible for mass shootings. Gun manufacturers are not responsible. Family and friends are not responsible, unless they aid and abet the actions of the criminal with the gun. The ones chiefly responsible are the ones pulling the trigger for criminal purposes. No gun does anything without its holder making it do something.
If people aren't mature enough at age 18 to own the gun of their choice, then they aren't mature enough to cast a vote that could alter America's future. If you want to make "legal age" 21 for certain things, then it should be 21 for ALL things.

Remove the gun murders from the cities of LA and NY and we have one of the lowest gun murder rates in the world. Why does Bombay keep ignoring where murders occur and what group is committing most of the gun murders?
