I also like them kippered, which can be a bit hard to find since most kippers are herring. My wife won't let me eat my favorite sardine sandwich when she's around. Mustard sardines on rye with lettuce, tomato, onion. (But even she likes kippered herring). Where'd you get that fancy box o' sardines? (Most of our sardines here don't have a box to hold the can. Seems redundant and repetitive.) |

Yes, yes!! I loves the mustard ones too! The ones in the photo are my favorite though because I can doctor them up as desired and the quality has no equal. I get them at Costco. They come in a six-pack for 9 or 10 bux.

That nutritional stuff is all well and good, but at the end of the day sardines still taste like crap. Not only THAT, but did you see the date on that box  ?? Call me crazy (but not collect or Lee Fram...whateverthatfuckingmoronwilliecalledme) but I ain't eatin no f-in fish thats good til we have a different Congress in place....No way.....But, I DO understand that Fred iz going through hard times and cheaper food is certainly an indicator....kinda sad that the wife and kid have to suffer  .....Mommie, is Daddy staying home AGAIN today ? |

I stopped by my Costco to look for those sardines. They had the "Wild Planet" tuna, but not sardines. However, they did have 4-packs of those awesome King Oscar sardines on sale for $2 off until the end of the month...I bought some of those.

I'm sure Dolomite hates sardines and tuna. He especially does not eat tuna tacos or kipper feast. I TRIED to like sardines !!! Just couldn't get past the heavy fish smell/ taste.....I like Fish Lite (like perch, brim, catfish, even salmon) .....I'm a wimp signed, BFQ |
